The good people at Scivation chose to send me a stack of 3 products to try. I received Xtend PM in Moonlight Mojito, regular Xtend in Freedom Ice and Rainbow Sherbet. I was really excited to try them all, as Xtend's flavors have all been top notch to me. I was also very curious about the PM product. Read on for my thoughts!
Xtend PM Moonlight Mojito
Here are some shots. Check out the label!
I always have trouble sleeping, even when I am exhausted from the day's activities. I am always on the lookout for something to help me get to, and stay asleep.
So here is my thoughts and experience with this product.
I have honestly never had a mojito, so I went into this with no expectations on flavor. The powder mixed perfectly with no floaters or sediment on the bottom. This is great because I wasn't sure with these ingredients if it would fully mix. I used 10 ounces of cold water in a small shaker.
The taste was pretty good. I got a little lime and mint in the flavor. The only thing I didn't care for was that I get a little bit of chalkiness to it. Like you get when you chew a Tums or Pepto tablet. It wasn't really bad, but it was a little off. It is probably from the ingredients used.
I was a little skeptical of the ingredients. I like how the L-Theanine was dosed because I like it for it's calming qualities. I hate it in preworkouts though. That being said, I was happy to see it included. As far as the GABA, I feel it is a bit underdosed. In fact, I use it as a standalone and use up to 1 gram easy. It works pretty good for me. The melatonin seems to be a decent dose. I think Scivation was being a little conservative with this product as they have to consider everyone is different, and some people don't need moderate or heavy doses of these ingredients. Otherwise, it also includes Xtend's blend of BCAAs.
I found it to be pretty helpful in getting to and staying asleep, dosages aside. I slept fairly well, and all night. I didn't wake up with any grogginess or a "hangover". I would definitely recommend it to those with mild to moderate problems relaxing and getting to sleep.
It is $15.99 in the bb.com store, and you get 20 servings. Overall a pretty good deal.

RAINBOW SHERBET
I also received Xtend in the new Rainbow Sherbet flavor. I love that flavor in ice cream, so I was really excited about this one. As with all the Xtend products I have had, this one mixed up perfectly as well. It has Xtend's typical blend of BCAAs in the 2:1:1 ratio. Here are some pictures:
I mixed this up with 1 and 1/2 scoops of powder to 30 oz of water. I hit it right the first time mixing. I didn't need to add more powder or water to make it better.
I found the flavor to be outstanding. I tasted berry first, followed by a nice orange, and the lime comes through on the finish. You get all 3 flavors perfectly. What I really enjoyed was a hint of actual creaminess!!! How did you do that Scivation??? It wasn't strong, but I have never had that mouthfeel before with any Xtend product. I really enjoyed this one!!
I plan to mix this up as a slushie in the the Nutrabullet, but haven't gotten to it yet. I will update this thread when I do.
I highly recommend this flavor to everyone. Even those that might not like rainbow sherbet. I think you would enjoy this. I easily give the flavor a 10/10.
Note: I don't want to get caught up in the debate as to whether or not BCAAs are effective as a supplement. I enjoy them for the flavor largely, not because I think they do much for me. If they do, great! If not, I will continue using Xtend anyway, because I like it so much. I realize they are not a necessity.

XTEND FREEDOM ICE
Another flavor I was looking forward to trying. I don't know that I have ever had anything similar to this as a cold treat, so I didn't have any expectations on flavor. This flavor is a little lighter, so I found mixing 2 scoops in 40 oz of cold water to be the best flavoring strength. It also mixed perfectly.
This flavor was also really good. I tasted a mix of blue razz and citrus. Kind of an interesting combo, but it works well. It was really refreshing and I drank it down pretty quick because I liked it so much. I even have been taking to work to sip on, because I am notorious for not getting enough hydration at work. So overall, I was really happy with this one, and also plan on making a slushie with it when I get a chance. Need to do it soon, because cold weather is right around the corner here, and I don't tend to do cold drinks during winter.
I also highly recommend this flavor. I would give it a 9/10, largely because I have to use more powder to get the right flavor.
Thanks for everything Scivation. All the products I tried were excellent, and I will buy again.
Please bring back the OG Blood Orange. Nuff said
