45 now and have slipped into some bad habits. I still eat healthy but I tend to treat myself more often than not - junk food, wine, too many carbs. The gym has become infrequent and I feel like I'm losing motivation everyday to the point of depression. I'm a lot less disciplined than I used to be. I remember missing one day and bitching about it; I miss that. The thing is, i know I can do it, I just need to get the ball rolling. I used to be in the gym daily at 6am, nutrition was on point, and I felt amazing.
I need to be accountable, and this place was the one place I would be everyday which gave me the motivation and drive to succeed. Yes, I'm cringing looking at some of my posts from half a decade ago, but I'm back. I'll be posting pics (eesh I can barely look at myself in the mirror), my food and routines. Gotta get my crap together. So feel free to follow along.
Ideally I'd like to be in the gym 4 days per week with the following
Chest Abs
Back Bis
Delts Tris
Legs Cardio
I'm going to cut first (and maintain?) as I need to rid myself of some bodyfat and Lbs. Aiming for 3 to 4 sets of 8 - 10 rep range. 1 - 2 Lbs loss per week is ideal. I have to figure out my macros as I'm a little older now and don't shed the fat like I used to.
Almost a week in. Started last Wednesday Chest Abs, Thursday Back Bis, Friday Delts Tris (I finally got into the gym at 6:45 am and it was pretty awesome). The first few day I lost a bit of water weight Thursday I weighed in at 173. Saturday 168.
1200 cals same routine as first entry - yesterday Biceps and cardio. Biceps due to I ran out of time on back and bis day this week. It was actually a good workout as my arms weren't so tired from back. 30 mins on elliptical.
