The other dangerous thing here and this is looking into the future, if someone can record what you say and get you arrested, how soon before there are cameras that are audio capable that are being monitored from an police headquarters? Not so far farfetched.

What the hell does that even mean? So does that mean when a black person calls a white person a cracker they can be charged with that too? They were stupid college kids being obnoxious and while it is repugnant it is not a crime seeing as it's protected by the first amendment. If this is the precedent they want to set then like others are saying, there are a lot of rappers and comedians who need to be charged too.

It means someone should be able to be in public without being ridiculed (harassed) based on something like their skin colour.
So being in a fight and shouting some racial slur isn’t ridicule imo. But if a few people were following someone and harrassing and ridiculing them based on their skin colour then I don’t see a big problem with that being a crime. The slippery slope argument can be applied to anything.
So if two black men were following a white person and constantly ridiculing them by saying “cracker” or something known to be racist then they should be charged with a similar crime of ridicule.
I put it in this context so it’s easier for you to sympathize and understand.

Well, yes he was except that it was 42,000. Quebec Human Rights Tribunal (this is a thing)...
"requires Ward to pay $25,000 in moral damages and $10,000 in punitive damages to Jeremy Gabriel, who suffers from Treacher Collins syndrome — a condition that causes affects the development of bones and tissues in the face— for a joke he made about him at a show in 2010, the CBC reported. Ward has also been ordered to pay $5,000 in moral damages and $2,000 in punitive damages to Gabriel's mother, Sylvie Gabriel.
The tribunal sided with Gabriel, ruling that Ward had infringed on his right to have his disability, honour, and reputation safeguarded without discrimination, rejecting Ward's defence that there was a "clear difference between harassment against a person and an artistic work being produced before a willing audience," according to the Canadian Press."
While Ward said he was initially happy to defend Gabriel when others made fun of him, he'd been under the impression that he was a terminally ill child, being granted a dying wish by a children's foundation, he continued.
"But five years later, he wasn't dead, he's not dying," he quipped on stage. "The little bastard, he's just not dying."
Gabriel couldn't be killed, Ward continued, joking that he'd unsuccessfully tried to drown him once, and that when he looked up Gabriel's condition online, he found that it was being "ugly."

Looks like all the rap artists, including those who are white are off to jail or to be fined for each occurrence right?
Leftists would be on board to jail anyone with a MAGA hat...Misc Firearm Crew. 2nd Amendment cannot be Interpreted.
The right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.
2023 Goal: Continue triggering leftist R&P deranged posters and incels.
