Meanwhile my middle to upper middle class family had to fork over 27k a year for me to attend the same school for the same education, most of which is in student loans cuz who just has 100k+ in cash to payout for school?

Poor people don't have to pay already due to FAFSA aid, the middle class is again being asked to fork more money over via taxes for these government programs, and the problem is in real COST of the degrees more than anything, bring down the annual tuition and room/board costs and you can easily afford to go to school on your dime if you are so inclined - the answer is not more taxes to fund a system the government already broke w/ federally backed loans which ballooned tuition to astronomical highs.
It costs 30k for tuition here in CA at a 4 year, all four years (using numbers 2 years old now). Books and parking don't add up to 100k. Where you guys getting these crazy tuition fees? If adding room and board, meal plans, etc-that chit can be eliminated by not choosing to move out, and you're going to have to pay it regardless. This out of state? That's a privilege right there, stay in state. I mean you could feasibly get a 4 year degree here in California of all places with books and all for 25k if you take the first two years at community college.

Wrong again tammy girl... Candians that dont want chit healthcare and can actually afford it come to the US because they dont want to wait weeks for basic service.

Your little graph had nothing to do with quality of care.

not sure about everyone else but all the ridiculous fees that colleges make you pay are usually the same or more than the tuition. im not talking about room and board either, bullchit admin and records storage fees etc... so 20k in tuition but another 15k-30k in fees. a giant portion of the problems would get fixed if they did not make you take classes unrelated to your studies, brb gotta take an art history class so i can get this computer science/engineering degree. most of the wasteful classes they make you take should have been handled in 1st-12th grade but oh wait the government fuks that up too so now you have to completely reform the entire education system in america. too bad that most of the teachers/government doesnt want to do that because they would actually have to work for a living and their safety net goes out the window and they have to be more competitive like the rest of the market.

pumping more money into a broken system will never fix the problem without addressing the fundamental issues that are ruining it in the first place. this applies to education, health care/insurance, government etc...

I actually received healthcare in many countries, and US is the best, by far. For starters in US you are actually seen. Where they say it’s “free” aka stolen money from tax payers, it may indeed be “free”, but the problem is you wait in line until you either die or are ok or go elsewhere for treatment.

Leave the phony propaganda graphs alone.

You get a tooth ache in US, you go to nearest office, pay $150 and your teeth are fixed in like 30 minutes. Good luck with that elsewhere in the world.

thats why their military wont be able to infiltrate us in the future. it will be like blade runner where we ask suspicious people to identify all the genders and after they stop after the first two and we tell them to name the rest they go apechit and get caught. checkmate Chinese bigots you may have billions of soldiers but we have unlimited genders to fight back with

People think they need the "college experience".
2 years at CC and another 2 in state school doesn't count in their mind.

Maybe if leftists promoted Fitness over obesity, I might possibly get on board. Also, is ass will be tossed out as soon as possible, and most likely will be going to a county hospital.

Here's an idea, instead of forcing people to pay for other peoples' college, how about we bring the cost of college education down to an acceptable level? You morons don't realize that the cost of college skyrocketed once the government started subsidizing it with student loans. It's because the schools know they can charge whatever they want because the government will pay and idiot 18 year olds don't understand how deferred interest loans work.
If whoever I’m talking to can’t acknowledge and propose a fix for this, we can’t go forward. Imo opinion, EVERYONE, does not deserve “free” college. You have no right to it, if you accrue massive debt for a useless degree, that’s YOUR fault not ours. Everything the government touches gets more expensive not less, that’s a fact.

You didn't answer my question though, who pays for that ambulance ride and that ICU stay?

But yes as I side note I do think this country needs a solid anti-obesity point.

Then maybe leftists should stop promoting the fat acceptance movement, the healthy at any size movement, the body positivity movement, and end fit/thin shaming.

As for who pays for it, if they have insurance, they will. If they don't, they're going to get the worst care possible.

Long lines at the doctor's office; medical care and attention based on emergency needs first (if you've got the flu, f*ck you and go home). Cattle like treatment; overwhelming demand with finite, substandard quality resources. As for school, diluted degrees with very little substance; inadequately trained or prepared workforce, assessments and quality checks dumbed down or given up.

I actually think the "college experience" is pretty cool and I wish more people could experience it. That being said, I do think CC and then a few years of "university life" is plenty. I still remember my first year of college, where I went to CC before transferring. Everybody in my little group agreed, it felt like a continuation of high school. It was weird. Then when I got to the big school it was a totally difference experience. One I will cherish forever and one that would be hard to recreate in normal life.

I've never understood where the numbers come from when people make it seem like $100k+ for college is "normal."
