Am I missing something or is there no separate menu to choose a specific game mode, e.g. TDM, Domination, etc...or do you access those games only via the “Quick play” menu and have to filter out the others?

Filter out modes you want/don't want, basically, like Beary said.

Whoever designed these maps for this one needs to be fired and they need to apologize for these terrible maps.

Piccadilly is the best map in the game and it's not even a "great" map by even COD standards. Maybe I'm spoiled because the Pinnacle of online shooter through my rose glasses is SOCOM 2 which had incredible maps. I just wanted this game to have great maps and instead we get these.

I like the TTK (mostly), I'm not a huge fan of the number of 1 shot kill rifles with Red Dots. I've found I prefer S&D/Cyber Attack in this because the maps flow a little better in those modes. Gun Fight is pretty fun, and I like the overall customization in weaponry.

The campaign isnt bad so far, The townhouse clearing mission was pretty legit.

The gunfight maps should be added to as TDM maps and be just a tad bigger. srs

This is the campiest **** I've ever played in my life. It's actually mind blowing watching some of these kill cams. Dude's pre-aiming one window the entire kill cam until someone peaks it. No clue how people play like this... then they finish the match like 5-7. Dog ****... Search is where it's at. You take over the objectives or defend them and win every round. You don't have to run around searching for people in the one of 100 head glitches and windows per map.

Gunfight is by far my favorite... less BS to deal with. Less camping spots, if you have a good teammate and communicate you will win.

If you are easily upset by campers, I would pass. BF5 is releasing the pacific assault maps in 4 days and I prefer BF over ground war.
Having said that, I'm still enjoying the game and I've been no life-ing all weekend. Yeah there's campers, but half the games I just run around with the carbine quick scoping (and missing) and having a good time.

after playing MP for 12 hours, i'm starting to feel like this game ain't for me.

just a few issues off the top of my head:
- literal campfest.
- horrible map design (the open map design promotes camping and holding angles... all. ****ing. game. long.). and some of the maps are just absolute garbage with horrible spawns.
- footsteps are WAY too loud (and promote camping since most people just sound whore and can pre-fire before you turn the corner).
- callouts are dumb af. brb sneaking up on an enemy but your character decides to call it out so they can hear.
- no one plays the objective since most of the capture points are OUT IN THE WIDE OPEN and this game rewards players for sitting at "power positions" (aka camping spots).
- TTK is way too low (once again, promotes camping since whoever gets the first shot usually gets the kill)

i get people wanted cod to be more "tactical", but this is just ridiculous. i play cod for the arcade, run-and-gun aspect. if i wanted a tactical shooter i'd play r6 siege.

might just stick to gunfight and 1 or 2 other modes.

The good news is the devs seem like they are trying. Reddit has been complaining about everything you said and I think it pretty likely that they will nerf the footsteps and get rid of the callouts. I don't think this cod will ever feel like cod with the ranked matchmaking system though. I liked the randomness of older lobbies where some times you got to dominate, and some times you played against a clan of sweaty nerds. It feels like most of my games everyone is trying super hard to maintain a slightly positive k/d lol.

Enemies really don’t stand out from the background at all for me especially in the caves map

Yeah in quake you bunny hop all over the place and quake players are generally pretty competent. Cod and BF has always filled that middle ground between shooting sims and fast arena shooters. So it doesn't really matter what you could and couldn't do irl when talking about these games.

I finished the campaign last night and thought it was good, I wish it had been longer though. The multiplayer like everyone has mentioned camping is a big problem. I am still getting used to playing the game but it would be nice if more people talked (PS4) to make the game more enjoyable. Also I rage when I get spawned killed twice in a row like wtf COD spawn me somewhere else. I found myself last night camping camp spots so the campers couldn't camp haha.

As i played more i swear they got quieter but my first few games I couldn't even figure out wtf was going on because my own footsteps were SO LOUD. key is, don't sprint. I think they wanna make it a negative to go sprinting around

Also, the perk that allows you to see enemy foot prints as bright red paint. RIDICULOUS.

Get that trash outta there and this game is awesome

Think i am lvl 14 (was pretty blasted so i dunno for sure), i agree m4a1 seems solid. There are so many guns and customizations I don't have a clue, it just seems like a lot of work to figure out which gun is better. the menus are kinda over complex

Not perfect, maps are chit, but I’m loving the gameplay so far. Much better than the abomination that was WW2.

One of the last cods would constantly drop games...... or the lag was unplayable. Then it would ban me for quitting too much.
Took the disc out frisbied it across the room picked it up and snapped it in half... swore off cod after that

The gameplay is great and the perks/attachments don't break the game like previous editions. The maps are large and it is campy atm, I'm expecting that'll subside in the coming weeks. They just patched dead silence today so it actually works, but the footsteps and overall game noise still need some work. I haven't bought a cod in years for a number of reasons but I'm really enjoying this one so far.

Help me figure out how these fukin “challenges” work. I have 29/35 shotgun kills today (hate the shotgun btw), but 0/60 shotty kills for the daily challenges. Do you have to do them in consecutive order or what?
