Anyone get in on the gunfight tournament?

Managed to finally win one. Down 3-5 in the Finals and came back to win 6-5 due to some clutches by both me and my partner.

Only beef is that we played about 12 matches total yesterday and the map breakdown was:

KING (x8)
STACK (x3)
PINE (x1)

How is it possible in a randomly chosen map to have to play some of the worst 2v2 maps 99% of the time?

These game makers need to be investigated.

I argue that the sbmm is specifically designed to create addiction like gambling does.

They throw you in a bunch of games get wrecked. Then it somehow puts you on god mode for a game to keep you hooked like a slot machine does.

Also the stats are bonkers. I play ****ty kd ratio goes UP.

I was thrown in a game where it was hard to die. I'd just run into a group and kill 3 and escape untouched. Only reason I died 7times was due to using predator missiles or just sprinting into them

it's not hard tbh, once you play like 100+ hours, it's easy to do well most matches

also, it helps if you turn off the 10v10 modes lol

I play mostly 10v10, I think it's more fun.

2.2 kd but it's like 2.1 now from grinding shoot house to level up weapons during the double xp weekend


My trick is that I summon the 17 year old on me and go back to the prime halo 3 and modern warfare days and just frag out all over everyone's faces

i beat the campaign on realism.

story sucked balls. and i was expecting a much harder realism difficulty. was not even that bad.

then again I am part of the COD2 veteran and mile high club. COD2 veteran was no fukin joke. one of my great achievements

Yeah, I don't like it. Everyone is camping, it's tough to be aggressive. Too many areas to look out for and snipers everywhere, it's just a clusterfuk. It's not a good showcase of skills

Only can play 10v10.

Ground War is cheesy. It has potential, but it just seemed like constant killstreaks, sniped, just chaos like Darkhare said.
6v6 is too arcady for me. Just run to point A, either get a kill or two, or instantly die. Rinse and repeat.

10v10 at least you can have some variation to style of play. Sniping can be done without it feeling like cheesy typical run and gun sniping. You can grab an SMG if you want and play that way. Only real drawbacks are the absolutely chit tier spawns (seems like every map besides the palace you can get spawn trapped). The only other bad thing is there are 4 total maps.

Though I was annoyed at having to wait for the update, this Season One update was pretty big and I'm loving the 3 old school maps they brought back for MP! I always loved Shipment, fast and crazy lol. Also 3 new Gunfight maps which was needed badly.

What are your go to guns? I love the M4A1 and it seems like that's the only one I do well with. I've been trying some sub machine guns but they don't seem powerful enough. I can usually shoot the victim first but always seem to die with a sub bc it takes multiple shots to kill.

M4 like you said. I like the M13. I even like the Kilo 141.

I get the same crap though that you're describing. I will hit a guy a couple times, he will still turn and kill me. I have had the opposite happen (they hit me first, I turn and kill them) a total of twice. It feels good knowing the dude on the other side is absolutely raging, because they deserved the kill... but I don't know. It seems to happen to me quite a bit too.

I pretty much stick to the M4A1 too...best all around gun IMO, strong but with decent range, good for close quarter and midrange. AK47 is good too, but the kickback is crazy.

I suck with subs and LMGs, but others seem to do well with them. With the subs you have to be close and with the LMGs close quarters is hard...and forget reloading lol. Takes way too long.
