    Leg extensions

    Toes up or down? Do those emphasis different muscles?

    Also, anyone else feel the front of there legs/calves working along w the quads when toes are pointing up?

    Never really gave it any thought, but I guess up since that seems more natural. Do whatever feels comfortable to you, since it shouldn't make much of a diff as far as your quads are concerned. I'd suggest squats for your main go-to though.

    If you point your toes up hard as you do it you may feel it in your shins/calves the same way you would feel it if you just pointed them up hard while not doing anything at all. I don't think they'd be doing anything to actually get the weight up on the extension.

    Agreed. When I just point them up not doing anything I can feel it, so I’m assuming it’s jsut from the positioning of my feet and not actually moving the weight

    Feels like the hamstrings are stretched with the ankle extended making it harder for the quads to contract directly at the knee joint. Seems like it could be useful in application.
