    Unhappy Muscle memory?

    So I had gastroenteritis а month and half ago that lasted two weeks. Was some bad gastro. Dropped from 82kg to 75kg. Arms dropped from 18 inches to 17 inches. The body fat reduced from like 16 to 14%. I thought it was water weight mostly. Been a month now since recovery and since I started my regular diet. I have gained most of the strength back but cant seem to gain the weight back. Surely water weight would be back in 1 month of my proper diet but the weight is constant at 75kg and arms wont go back to 18 inches. Im training and eating 2800 calories as well as I used to. Been a month so I'm getting impatient. Any idea as to why i cant gain the weight that I lost back?

    If the strength is back but the weight isn't maybe you are leaner and carrying less bodyfat. If you want to gain bodymass, indifferent to whether its fat or muscle, increase calories.

    The weird thing is that it doesnt seem like ive lost that much body fat. I want to gain the bodymass back that i lost so im just taking the calories i used to take when i clean bulked before gastro. Anymore calories will just add to bodyfat. The 2% bodyfat reduction wont explain the 1 inch drop from 18 to 17 in arm size.
