-Rockets GM tweets some simple tweet defending Hong Kong who are fighting for freedom against communist China
-Rockets owner says GM doesn’t speak for team
-People are like wtf, he was defending people’s freedom
-Most people in NBA stay silent despite being the “woke league”
-People wait for LeBron to say something as he often speaks on politics and SJW stuff
-He finally speaks up and calls the Rockets GM uneducated and uninformed
-Only reason he would say that is for fear of losing money
-Everybody calling him a coward and a hypocrite besides a couple LeBron apologistsHorny.

The relationship between China and the NBA – a multibillion-dollar marriage that involves media rights, streaming, merchandise sales and much more – is strained right now in ways unlike any other since the league first began planting roots there in earnest three decades ago. A since-deleted tweet from Houston Rockets general manager Daryl Morey that showed support for Hong Kong anti-government protesters prompted an immediate backlash, complicated further by the timing of the NBA having two preseason games in China this week.
“We apologize,” Rockets star James Harden said in Japan on Monday. “We love China. We love playing there. I know for both of us individually we go there once or twice a year. They show us the most support and love. So we appreciate them as a fan base and we love everything they’re about and we appreciate the support that they give us individually and as an organization.”
Edit..
The below article also references the Rockets popularity in China because of Yao Ming.

The deal is worth a reported $1.5 billion while Tencent has estimated that there are about 500 million fans in China consuming NBA content, ESPN reported.

lol at lebron talking about being misinformed/not educated.
lebron: I just think that when you're misinformed or you're not educated about something -- and I'm just talking about the tweet itself -- you never know the ramifications that can happen. We all see what that did -- not only for our league but for all of us in America, for people in China as well

1/ I did not intend my tweet to cause any offense to Rockets fans and friends of mine in China. I was merely voicing one thought, based on one interpretation, of one complicated event. I have had a lot of opportunity since that tweet to hear and consider other perspectives.
2/ I have always appreciated the significant support our Chinese fans and sponsors have provided and I would hope that those who are upset will know that offending or misunderstanding them was not my intention. My tweets are my own and in no way represent the Rockets or the NBA.
Morey himself said he was misinformed and needed to be educated from other perspectives. Amazing what actually reading can do for you huh

Hong Kong protesters slam LeBron James for comments about China, free speech
https://nypost.com/2019/10/15/hong-k...a-free-speech/
The King no longer reigns supreme in Hong Kong.
Lakers superstar LeBron James took a hit in the semi-autonomous Chinese territory, where basketball fans trampled on jerseys bearing his name after the four-time MVP waded into the NBA controversy involving the country.
On Monday, James touched a nerve among protesters in the former British colony for suggesting that free speech can have negative consequences.Helping one person may not change the world, but it could change the world for one person.

Misinformed on how his comments would affect NBA employees and others that had to go to China, so now people over there are required to put out a fire that they never wanted to be a part of. Lebron's name has been plastered all over the media because he's the face of the league, asking "Why isn't Bron saying anything about the Morey tweet".. Its idiotic to expect an NBA player to speak on what another NBA official spoke on in regards to international politics.

This is what should be talk about. Why should "Support freedom and stand with Hong Kong" have any negative consequences to begin with? Even if that statement might have negative consequences on financial part, what about the part that it might have a positive impact on the Hong Kong freedom movement? We can say Morey sure did apology for the money not misinformed.
I guess LeMao is educated enough on the profit part in China but not on human right. That's clear for sure.

Imagine actually thinking that because someone paid for a piece of paper they're opinion is automatically more important than someone else's.. Just the general statement like this shows how unintelligent you are.
In regards to this tho, Morey already apologized and said he was uninformed and misunderstood the full context of what is happening over tho....... sooooooooo... yeah

Morey isn't wrong in his statement. Likely pressured by Silver and the owners. The NBE is looking really bad backing authoritarian China. I stand by what I say. LeBron taking the side of China just shows how much of a moron he is. Maverick Carter is the brains of that operation. LeBron is good at putting a ball in a hoop.
