I started exercising at 42 and lost about 40-50lbs. I'm off about 8 different meds that the weight gain caused and feel fantastic.

I'm 35 and have lost 70lbs in 12 weeks. Never too old. Lost nearly 90lbs back in 2014 and got under 10% BF and I was 29-30.
Quit the excuses people around you most likely have been giving you...Don't know about you but ive heard em all... READ READ READ on here and get your ass to work.
The amount of friends/family/acquaitances ive dropped since is unreal. people will project their insecurities, laziness and shortcomings on you when they start seeing your success/results..
Don't set yourself up for failure before you even start!Transformation Thread: https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=177716261&p=1591136601#post1591136601

Might need to workout your mindset as well. Don’t fall victim to comparison as all it will do is rob you if your own happiness.
Just take it one day at a time, pay attention to what you’re putting into your body as well since nutrition will arguably have a greater impact on your results than your time in the gym.
Also remember:
-nobody ever regrets the feeling they have as they’re leaving the gym/ wrapping up a workout.
-The days you least want to go are the days you need it the most.Burn rubber, not your soul
