    failed lifts, failed lifts, flailed lifts

    is it just me, or did everyone else fail on there lifts today also?


    running Mad Cow, failed on bench and squat. (205 and 255) got 4 out of 5 reps.


    could it just be a bad day?

    Loved madcow. Ran three times. If I remember right, reset week 11 first time, 8 second time, and 9 the last. Best linear progression I ever made.

    Last time I squatted I did (235x10)x4
    Today I planned to do (245x8)x4

    Felt really heavy, only did 7 reps. I had good rest and lots of food the past few days so I figured I just had to spend a workout getting used to the weight.

    By the third set I only got 6 reps. Looked at the weight and considered unloading a bit for the last set.

    That's when I noticed I had 265 on the bar.
    Current.....................315 / 285 / 455............175 lbs
    July 1, 2019.................................................164 lbs
    Late April 2019.........285 / 275 / 440.............178 lbs
    Early March 2019......275 / 245 / 405.............173 lbs
    Oct, 2018..............175x6 / 145x6 / 275x5......163 lbs

    I would imagine that most people who train consistently, have both good and bad days at the gym. The trick is to have many more good days, than bad.

    Can't say the same m8. I was shooting for at least 315x5 on a squat and I got 6. Going to go for 7 next week.

    I did technically fail my front squat afterwards but that was me just putting a random weight on the bar and seeing if I could get 5 reps (got 4).

    Some are good days and some are bad.
