    Pectoral Atrophy/Right sided issues

    Hi All,

I'll try and keep this short and summarize

    Male (29)
-Strength training for 10 + years for various sports
-Over the last 2 years noticed continuous atrophy of right pectoral (almost fully atrophied) Seems like its cut off right from the sternal head
-Whole right side seems to be "off" with shoulder hanging lower/some upper back/lat atrophy as well
-Saw multiple nuerologists/orthos/specialty mds (even took a trip to Eric Cressey in Mass) with very little answers
-It seems my serratus has gotten a lot bigger on the atrophied right side (taking over activity lat should be doing?)
-I've had 2 emgs of the right side that come back pretty normal with little explanation for the atrophy

I'm attaching some pictures as well as some links to a few threads from the forum where people experience something very similar. Any input/suggestions would be wonderful. Perhaps someone has come across something like this before and acquired some answers.

Yes. The list of physicians I’ve been to are listed in my first post.

I feel this is a pretty rare issue. I’m only posting in hopes that someone has run into something like this with a physician who was able to get to the bottom of it.

I assume you've lost significant function and strength in your right pec, and that this is not simply a cosmetic issue?

Correct..it is way past cosmetic (you can't even see muscle fiber "firing" it my right pectoral)

I also have significant lat atrophy as well since it I have a hard time using it with the shoulder forward. I basically don't really feel any "connection" with my right side. Very strange.

Sounds neurological to me - but I know way less than the specialists you've seen. Is it possible you had some sort of nerve or brain injury (seems like you might do boxing or MMA from your pic there)?

Emgs for the most part have been pretty normal... no injury that I can really think of. Thanks for the input though

    Just a frustrating experience overall
