    Healing slower

I'm healing at a rate 2x slow as I was in my 20's. Joints are the main problem. Have to wait 3 days sometimes to workout the same muscle group, when I used to do it every day all week and rest on Saturday and Sunday.

    This is bull****.

Getting old sucks. But I hear it beats the alternative.

It really does beat the alternative. I tried that and it really sucked, so i'm back. As far a healing slow, I hear that. It takes me 10 minutes in the morning to stand up straight, but I do notice that when I get sick and can not lift I seem to feel even worse.
".......have you paid your dues Jack?"
"Yes Sir, the check is in the mail."

I'm 52 and starting lifting 13 months ago after a 20 year layoff. Tried doing the same setsxreps that I did 20 years ago and my joints would ache for days. My shoulders ached 7 days a week. So I cut back on the weight and did sets of 12 to 20. None of the heavy sets of 6 or 8. Just moderate weight so that I'm still coming close to failure between 18-20 reps.

I'm 45, been lifting for almost 6 yrs. My elbows and shoulders have been hurting more than normal lately. I have recently switched from 6-8 reps to 12 reps to try and get some relief.
