The mainstream democratic view is far left. Leftists on here can try to downplay it any way they want, but we can all hear what the candidates are saying. We pretty much knew it when they all raised their hands in support of free healthcare for illegal immigrants after pledging support for open borders(a debate that made even Sillie call it out for the sh!t show that it was). But if there was any doubt, we now have the front runner(Warren) saying that she would make sure her education secretary is approved by a mentally ill 9 year old. She also wants to federally legalize the knowing and deliberate transmission of HIV. That is in addition to reparations for blacks and gays, and openly attacking the 1st and 2nd amendments. Then you have her supporting Medicare for all, and “free” college. If these are the policies that put her ahead of all other candidates on the left then it’s time to face the music....there is no far-left fringe on your side of the aisle, there is a far-left majority.

I live in Quebec, Canada and NOTHING that is publicly funded works. The corruption is non stop. The money we pay through taxes just disappears in disastrous social programs. It's one corruption scandal after the other. It's reached a point where the whole population doesn't even care anymore and blindly pays constant newly added hidden taxes/fees/permits/whatever.

Health care: wait 14 hours at emergency, 4 years for a family doctor, 6 months for a specialist, horrible work conditions and salaries. Doctors leave to the U.S. or open private cabinets.
Cheap Education : Made Diplomas worthless / people study in useless trash and become Useful Idiots
Affordable Housing: Encourages welfare, non productive losers and ghettos
Work: Lower average salaries in professions where women have deeply invaded the job market because of Equal Pay. (Irony)

You're still probably overestimating them. They're a fringe minority.

The problem is, the left can't seem to shake them off. They give them the majority of their attention.

And when the leaders come out in support of the policies of the fringe, vocal minority, those policies then become the policies of the party. Hence why the Democrats have been moving further and further left.

The Democrats are on a trajectory to alienate all of the normal people. They're going to end up losing all of their power, and then either they dissolve completely, or re-form without the ridiculous policies pandering to transgenders and illegals.

None of this is good for the country. Having one party be so completely inept so that it allows the Republicans complete control is terrible. I'm hoping eventually they can purge this and come back to the middle.

Europe will remain in recession until it recognizes this and does something about it. However, the far left is an arrogant bunch and they blame all of their failures on the rich and fat corporations, which have nothing to do with their failed policies.

Not to mention that Warren and Bernie and university professors teach their audiences that they are poor or not doing very well financially because of rich people. They are not wealthy because rich people have all the money - it is that stupid. Medicare is not far left; ideally, we would be able to provide for the betterment of our citizens, with an emphasis on "ideally." Actually getting there is a completely different matter, as well as something that we see is not such a clear-cut, snap of the fingers policy through nations that do have socialized healthcare, showing that there are also many cons accompanying the rosy picture too often painted. Reality leaves us with a "feel good" idea on paper that has so many more ramifications that are being ignored in favor of that warm, fuzzy feeling.

Prioritizing medicare for illegal immigrants while United States veterans are left out in the cold is one absolutely far left example, and should be seen as the insult that it is to every law abiding American citizen.
