I'm and Xbox guy through and through, but I did have the OG Playstation. I think the Series X will be a better console/experience over the PS5 because of how atrocious the Xbox One launch went and Microsoft is really giving huge value for your buck with the Series X and the Game Pass Ultimate. Also the backwards compatibility for Series X is pretty cool, with the Series X giving an Automatic update for older games to run/look better. I have a lot of old games I like to pop in every now and then which is nice.

They really haven't discussed much about the PS5 which is kind of alarming I guess? I heard they were suprised that the Series X beats out the PS5 in terms of performance, but to gamers the difference isn't going to be noticeable. It's almost like Sony is relying on the PS4 community to just buy the PS5 based on loyalty. It seems like the sooner they release all the information, that gamers will realize what's up and might switch over. Just seems really odd considering how much Microsoft has been releasing the Series X information. I know gamers and myself were disappointed in the game reveal as there was no gameplay, but I don't think Microsoft wanted to stream gameplay and have the resolution come out a little funky.

New Bioshock The Collection update gives big performance boost, PS4Pro now running it at 2560x1440 and 60fps. Now this is definitely next on my to play list.

No spoilers but you absolutely must play Bio 1 & Infinite, and in that order. 2 is good but it's more of a side story in ways that will be obvious as you start playing the series.

Looking forward to it. One of the greats I missed last gen, so to get the collection for free as a PS+ game then have the performance update is very nice!

It's a stone cold classic for sure. The combat isn't bad but it's def secondary to the story, the ideas, and the atmosphere. An art-deco underwater city based on the philosophy of Ayn Rand and a game that asks serious questions about the nature of human will, while also letting you battle giant clones in old-timey dive suits. Oh and also you can shoot fireballs.

It's so smart and completely bonkers at the same time.

Bioshock 1 is an absolute masterpiece, one of my favorite gems from the last gen and possibly one of the best locales ever made in a video game. Bioshock 2 was pretty good, but I didnt think it was as good as 1 ... Infinite was great too, but it lost a lot of the core ideas that made Bioshock "Bioshock" ... Disappointing game, but I still enjoyed the ride. I've played the remasters and had a blast.

Tempted to get the games on PC and replay them on masterace settings.


I hear they're working on a new Bioshock and tbh, I want them to go back to Rapture or New Rapture.

I grabbed myself a couple new headsets including the platinum one. Yeah for my overall gaming experience. I think headsets better than a home theatre system as far as Gaming audio.

Still undecided on tv year end. With the ps5. But feels good knowing I can focus on the picture only aspect.

I’m hoping: 70” or so tv + ps5 + extra controller + 2 games

I had preordered knack too but ended up canceling that one.

Overall I think PS4 had an amazing run during its lifespan. And it’s not even done yet not really.

I've been playing my Ps4 a bit lately, Persona 5, but only because I can play it through remote play on my Vita.

Doubtful, but there are rumors Sony patented some kind of proprietary game card. Would love to see them launch the PS5 with a dedicated handheld that worked alongside the Ps5 in ways and they actually supported. More points if it's bc with the PSP and Vita, even if it's just the e-shop. I own tons of games on the Vita non-physically.

They've demanded they are out of the handheld business entirely and they took a beating with the failure of the Vita, but maybe someone there is seeing the success of the Switch and realizes the Vita failed b/c of them.

My ideal PSP2 would be one that was BC with the PSP/Vita library, could remote play and second screen most/all PS5 games and could maybe be used as a controller for the Ps5. Something that you didn't need to get if you owned a PS5 but if you had both there would be some kind of synergy.

ps vita was worth it for me for persona 4 golden and persona 3 portable... cant remember if i played p3p on psp or ps vita though

the vita failed because of the OLED i think. it was too expensive for the average person, or too expensive to make. idk.

Vita was pretty cool with its ability to connect to your ps4 and play your ps4 games. You could do it on an iPhone and iPad as well. A new handheld system that could do that while being more stable would be interesting. I definitely don’t want it to be basically Sony’s version of the switch though.

inb4 this is actually a marketing plan from Sony to build suspense and anticipation. Everyone already knows what the xbox looks like and its meh but no ones knows how ps5 will look like. Even Xbox die hards fan are dying to know lol


Bethesda did something similar with Fallout 4 if memory serves correctly, they kept giving bits and pieces until they released the full thing and they made insane $$$.
