DeS remake is gorgeous but they actually changed a ton. They like kept the combat/feel so specific but changed art style and music. The vibe of the game is way different than original. Less eerie, less ethereal and dream like. Added a bunch of music etc.

Gonna have to disagree with you on that one. First, they aren't gonna patch such an old game. BB is way too big for that. If they ever do something it would be a full remake of the engine.

Imo Demons Souls was only "eerie" because it was a brand new IP with trash graphics. I was one of the few who bought, and still have my original copy before Dark Souls came out and took the spotlight. Played it multiple times and imo the remake absolutely mogs it in every conceivable way. The manta boss fight had my jaw on the floor with how crazy the lighting and perspective was, just having you feel helpless and tiny. I fuking love Bluepoint man they are wizards. Would instabuy a BB remake by them.

^^^I can respect the difference of opinion. I guess my main sentiment is if we get BB I want it changed as little as possible lol. Bluepoint are technical wizards for sure.

Heard good things about it. Seems like one of those in betweener games you play after a big open world game. I just beat Witcher 3 last night @ 80 hours played. Got the princess ending and starting DLC next. The next gen update has been a blast and the story is still better than most games to this day. So much things to do, so many cool characters and missions/plots. My only negatives so far are of course the combat, while okay, isn't modern and responsive. And in terms of the update itself, minor stuttering while autosaving, minor blurring in some cutscenes and of course while it got a fresh coat of paint, you still see its age in terms of graphics. Minor gripes though, I had a 9/10 time so far.

^^TW3 is one of my all time favorites. I have beat it on Xbone when it came out, then ps4 pro and then PC as well when I finally built one. I’m sure I’ll get to a 4th playthrough at some point with the update. Game is just good ****. DLCs are top tier as well.

Finally finished Witcher 3 last night boys. Including expansions. Overall it was a great experience with the next gen upgrade. There were some minor issues with graphics that CDPR needs to work on but nothing that ruined my experience. Story was just as beautiful and ending just as satisfying as I remember

There were of course some areas that showed its age, mostly character models and animations so I'm really excited to move on to some more modern games as W3 is the only game I tried so far on my OLED.

My initial plan was to do Ragnarok or TLOU2 but for some reason I'm considering Spiderman Remastered. Just for a fun feeling game that's more upbeat, esp after playing a mature game like W3.

No clue what this even means but I'm 100% starting ER this summer to get ready for the DLC. What starting class you recommend? I was thinking the samurai one?

Depends on what kind of build you want to do. I never play magic builds in these games so I prefer the vagabond. Samurai is good too though.

Gotcha.

I just finished up Spiderman remastered. Finished the whole game + DLC. Had such a blast with it that I'm shocked how many hours I put in to finish the game this fast. It's only been like 2 weeks? Nuts.

But yeah my only downside is the combat isn't the greatest, got repetitive by the end. Needed more unique enemies and not so many mobs. Of course it has your traditional open world missions where you clear camps or kill a group of baddies robbing a store or fighting it out with the police. I don't mind doing those optional missions though, again the only downside to me was the non-varied combat.

Other than that, swinging thru the city was a joy, the graphics still hold up and the story was entertaining and had me coming back again and again for more. Easy 9/10 for me. So much fun.

Really tempted to play Miles Morales as I'm already here.

Alright, I decided to get into Miles Morales right after playing Spiderman remastered since Miles is a shorter game.

Points to note, Miles is cool but I prefer Pete as a character. Graphics seem slightly better in Miles, but both look great imo. Combat is also a little better, with cooler animations and more satisfying with the haptics. The biggest difference is his special power moves which you can hit with his bar is full. They feel extremely satisfying to use, especially the first one.

Haptics really add so much to an experience. Anyway, story seems good so far, but obviously not quite as epic as the first. So it's a tradeoff for a tradeoff. Can't wait to get back in tonight.

I liked miles super powers and weapons more than Peckers. That really upped the gameplay. The whole game in general except I thought Peters story the full cutscenes etc were better than miles.

The hardest part of 1 is the double boss battle you fight Electro and Vulcher same time. But it got really hard for me. I was looking for tricks and vids on how to beat them.
