Been working a ton lately. They gonna restock at all prior to launch? Or I’m probably looking at feb/March to get a ps5? DeS remake looks great but I’ll be busy with cyberpunk this fall anyway. Still I’d preorder if I could. I’ll prob pick up a series X for chits and gigs too even though I have a gaming pc. A lot of preorder madness in the gaming world in the last few weeks it seems lol

Sony really needs to step up and release information rather than have their fans trying to grab bits and pieces of information from foreign youtubers. MS clapping Sony's cheeks in PR right now. Hope Sony is waiting with a big clap back or something rather then sharing nothing because they have nothing.

Yeah, not sure what Sony is thinking. There is almost no information whatsoever about the PS5 on their own site (as compared to the Series X which has a decent amount of info). Hell, do we even know where the SSD expansion is on the thing yet?
Much less any further info on software, game save compatibility, PS+ changes if any, etc.☠ By reading this post, you have agreed to my negative reputation terms of service.

Just finished The Order 1886. The gameplay may be mediocre and it is very short but it was cool as fuk. Might have to play through it again on easy just for the story.

Sony is introducing a few changes to its Trophy system, just ahead of the PS5 launch. These changes will be reflected in your current Trophies, which will carry into the next generation.
According to a post on the PlayStation Blog, the Trophy level is getting a big boost. Currently Trophy leels range from 1-100, but following the update it will be 1-999. The greater range means that once the update goes live, your current level will be automatically converted to an equivalent place in the new level rating. For example, Sony says, if your current level is 12 it will be converted to the low 200s.
This also comes with a reworked Trophy calculation structure that is aimed at being more rewarding, letting you progress through stages more quickly at the start and consistently throughout. The Trophy level icons are also getting a revamp that will be reflected on PS5 at launch, and on the PlayStation App with a later update.
Sony notes that this won't impact previously earned Trophies, and no Trophy requirements are being changed with this update. The update will be available mid-week throughout North America and Europe.CHRISTMAS Forever Crew

I just want them to add platinums to all games. So confusing that some don't have them for no apparent reason. My number of plats should match my number of games completed. Hate systems that don't have consistency.
Also I do like the progress tracking MS has, that would be cool.
Edit: and it looks like tracking is finally coming, hnnnnnng.

Interesting. Will be interested to see professionals' take on this. A few things that struck me:
- The SSD expansion isn't as slick as MS's "plug in", though maybe it will be compatible with a wider array of aftermarket solutions when they arrive?
- If the on-board SSD fails, you are buying a new PS5. No way to replace it, since it's soldered into the board.
- Overall very straightforward & integrated looking build, which should help reliability.
- The way those outer panels remove, I can easily see aftermarket color options being a thing.
Oh, and one thing I've never seen mentioned: Everyone complains about the size and where to put it. I plan on just setting it vertically behind my screen. Problem solved.☠ By reading this post, you have agreed to my negative reputation terms of service.

Sony has simply said most PS4 games will be backwards compatible. But they really need to let out some more information here. Many people are questioning if there may be issues, especially with save files. Also curious as to if they work what benefits will there be? We are seeing Series X play games with increased resolutions and frame rates and even adding in HDR. On the Sony side we know nothing.
