Damn it's been a LOOONNNNGGG time since I've been in this thread. Sup fellow PS5'ers. I've had mine since the 13th, only had one issue with the rest mode, I think it was because I purchased a game through the playstation.com and it was dl'ing during rest mode and maybe I interrupted it when I turned it on. But for the most part it's been great. I've been enjoying Days Gone. The transition from the pro to the ps5 has been magical.

You aren't wrong. And if everyone was strong enough to not buy from scalprs they wouldn't exist. Same goes for EA pay2win and many other things in life. I'd like to think I'd be a bigger person than contribute to the problem but going through covid winter without a PS5 would be tough for me. And like those other things in life, me not buying from a scalper doesn't fix the problem because a million other people still will, and I'll just miss out.

Time is money and I wont have the time to play it in the Spring when I can get one for retail, I made close to 35k in October and have already spent 3 hours trying to get one online, not wasting anymore time on that ****

They just released a patch for the rest mode right? Mine delivered monday but I'm on vacation and won't be back until next week. Fingers crossed that update fixed the issues and/or another update comes out between now and when i can finally unbox it

Spiderman, no rest mode, happened in middle of playing.

And to be clear yes good advice right now but that shouldn't be what people have to do, especially when rest mode is broken AF.

even if you werent in restmode, if it goes into rest mode alot it might be making it unstable.

what mode on spiderman? apparently performance mode has less problems than fideity.

I haven't put my system in rest mode once. I now go as far as turning the stupid thing off if I am going to leave it for 5 minutes to avoid it putting itself in rest mode. It's ridiculous. I left my Xbox360 and PS4 and PS4Pro powered on constantly for all the years I had each unit so this is a real adjustment for me, all because I am trying to lessen my chances of it breaking from normal use, lol.

I have been playing mostly in Fidelity. Couldn't tell ya if it has happened in performance mode or not. But I am not going to alter what I want to play or how I want to play it because they rushed released. I mean if Spiderman in Fidelity was the only issues people were having I would, but that is far from the case. If it breaks they can replace it, and yes I'll be mad I am without a system for a few days (I'll be posting here like a lunatic, lol) but factoring the chance of it breaking it's a reward vs risk situation IMO.

Finally had some time to play tonight. Played some Astros and then Demons. Having fun. Jury out for me on the controller. I’ll prob see if I can leave the rumble but turn off the sound coming from the controller. Annoys me for some reason.

Couldn’t hear anything coming from the ps5 (other than the loud as **** disc drive when it boots, but it goes back down after you’re in game). But I think my cat could. Kind of kept going back near it

I might be prisoner of the momenting this but I might have to rank Demons Souls ahead of DS3. It’s just fuking awesome. Just beat a boss and went back to the hub and was positioning the camera so it was really close to my character to see all of the details. It is just insane how good it looks.

I waited in live for 3.5 hours this morning. They were calling like 10 people at a time and I was #25. I got up to the front and the dude was like we are all out of PS5 and Xbox, everyone was like WTF are you keeping us around here for this is the only reason we are here. He said they only got 10 consoles, 7 Xbox and 3 PS5. There were probably 100 people in line behind me.
