PS5 Games Lineup Will ‘Satisfy Fans,’ Says Sony
Hiroki Totoki, Sony’s Chief Financial Officer, has said during the company’s latest financial call that it is confident the PS5 games lineup will “satisfy” folk, and unsurprisingly, reckons its upcoming next-generation will be a success. To coin a popular Sunnydale phrase, “Duh.”
PS5 Games Teased By Sony
Totoki-san commented that first-party studios at Sony as well as third-party developers are crafting titles that “will satisfy game fans.” Sadly, there’s no indication of what those games are, or even what we can expect for the launch lineup, but it’s exciting to hear Sony talking about PS5 when it’s still around a year out from release.
We’ve had quite a lot of juicy stories coming from the earnings call today. First up, Sony announced that PS4 sales had passed a new milestone, becoming the second best selling console over all time in the process.
Next, the hardware manufacturer revealed that PlayStation Now subscriptions had hit one million worldwide, and that the studio has its eye on acquiring more studios ahead of the release of PS5.
Speaking of the PS5, Sony confirmed earlier this month that it is targeting a holiday 2020 release for the new system. This means it will be going up against the Xbox Scarlett from Microsoft.
The new console will reportedly be fully unveiled during an event in New York City in February 2020, where it is expected Sony will also re-reveal Ghost of Tsushima as a PS5 game. In the meantime, Sony has confirmed a wide range of features for the machine, including backwards compatibility with PS4 games, an SSD, ray-tracing, and 8K.
A recent rumor has claimed that Sony is also going to offer the chance to play older PlayStation games on the new console. As such, it’s probably worth hanging onto your old discs for the time being.

hey does anyone know how to solve this problem? been trying for a while then gave up.
basically my ps4 won't stay powered i guess. when i hit the power button it turns on for like 1 second then powers off. i have to keep unplugging the power cord then plugging it in turning it on and off to play, but it takes like 100 tries. occasionally it'll stay powered on. i'm guessing it's the battery. but i have no idea.Last edited by 2RDEYE; 11-01-2019 at 11:35 AM.

In on next gen thread.
Playing Risk of Rain 2 right now. It's a 3rd person shooter roguelike with permadeath, loot, and permanent progression. I played the absolute chit out of RoR 1, and this is basically the same game (at least so far) just moved from 2d to 3d. If you like good indie games like Binding of Isaac or Enter the Gungeon, you should look into this game for real.
Not much on my new release radar right now since Doom Eternal got pushed back to March. Will use the time to lift and make sweet love to my wife.Smooth Seas don't make Strong Sailors. Keep your head up.
MrWhiskey24 for jolly cooperation (PS)

Finally back to some gaming, just got into Borderlands 3, fun game but I must say why the eff did they feel the need to make the enemies take 500000 bullets to kill? Makes me just run past everything because how long that **** takes. Also the classes all suck hot garbage but I do enjoy the game it's fun.

Probably the best comedy writing I've seen in a game thus far. I like when claptrap was talking about getting a party together, lots of hot chicks and making sure all the guys invited are ugly and obese. LoL
MW SP is supposed to be great... for me personally I'd be waiting at least a year to get the price drop on it I want though.
DS is probably something I end up giving a **** at some point, the people that love it love it too much not to try it I guess but if the game is partly just walking around and taking in the environment I'll wait for glorious PS5 graphics.

I read it's basically transporting cargo to places and fighting in between. I'm giving faith to Hideo Kojima on this game but it's up in the air for now, COD looks like a great story but the MP bores me so fast.
Honestly want PS5 to be here already.. getting it at launch. TLOU 2 and the sequel to GOW.. it's gonna be too epicR.I.P Greg Plitt

We had knack and killzone shadow fall at launch. I don’t know what lineup we’ll get ps5 but yeah I’m ready for it whether the launch titles are weak or strong. Well as ready as I’ll ever be. I been putting money away even if I don’t have much of it that week, it’s only way.
Guerrilla games is developing one of them and the job listings point to it being a horizon zero dawn game. Direct sequel or not.BLM (Brock Lesnar Matters)

PS5 news
German Electronics Retailer Releases PS5 Concept Video
n what seems like a deluge of PS5 news and rumors lately, we can add this little curio to the pile.
Though we already know about the PS5 release date in Holiday 2020, the appearance of the PS5 devkit and the patent for some funky looking cartridges which may or may not have anything to do with the PS5 itself, we’ve seen precious little regarding how the console itself might look like in the flesh when it finally arrives in just over a year’s time.
PS5 Concept Video Released
Of course, the radio silence that Sony has employed in this regard and its general drip-drop of technical details regarding the machine, hasn’t stopped other folks from taking an educated stab at just what the PlayStation 5 might end up looking like.
One such attempt at trying to predict the future comes from MediaMarkt Saturn, a leading German electronics retailer. The company has gone the full mile and fashioned a nearly ten minute video (that you can catch below), which is stuffed full of commentary (I hope your German is good), and a range of renders and designs in regards to what they believe Sony’s next-generation console will end up looking like.
As to the detail of it, MediaMarkt’s take on the console is a departure from the current ‘stepped’ design of the PS4 and PS4 Pro. With its oblong like appearance (which is not entirely unattractive, I must say), the console looks a little unambitious, though the return of the PS4’s status light, now in a wrap-around formation, proves to be familiar and welcome sight.
By far though, the more interesting idea put on the table here is the screen that the Dualshock 5 controller (or whatever it ends up being called) possesses, as it would appear to be a curtailed version of the PS5’s UI in the same way that a smartwatch might attempt to mimic a parent OS on a smaller scale. Ahh it’s nice to dream anyway. What do you guys think though – do you think the design is plausible? Let us know in the comments – and better yet, let us know how *you* might design the PS5.

Died so many ****ing times in the prologue mission, it isn't even funny. Game really frustrated me at the beginning but after finishing the first required mission, I did a side mission with 0 deaths and was quite easy. Getting the hang of the game- it's really good IMO. Loving the difficulty, didn't want to cruise through ****.
Wife started playing outlast 2 as well and I watched her play it.. cotdamn game looks nice but to be at the edge of your damn seat all damn game.... not my thing. Reminds me of when I used to play Resident Evil on Ps1 as a 7-8 year old (or so) and getting scared every time a damn zombie pops on the screen.. Learned my lesson with these games.
I've got Batman: AK, Ratchet and Clank, Bloodborne, Borderlands 2, Uncharted, The last of us: remastered, and Detroit: Become human and a bunch more games all chilling in my library (free, god bless PSP and my ps4pro came with 8 games).. No clue what to play after I finish Nioh.
.. and still need to play staples like God of War (never played any GoW game), spiderman (can see it getting repetitive, like Batman) etc..
Lol at saying there are no good games out there.Last edited by Xinroth; 11-14-2019 at 08:47 AM.
