    Smile Hiking for Fat los

    Hi everyone. I am going for a long hike doing camino de Santiago in Spain '(30-40 KM a day) To increase fat los what supplements shall I take ! I don't know if I should go Keto on this trip , or stick to my macros !thanks a lot for your responses

    Supplements do not help you lose fat. Fat loss is the product of a consistent caloric deficit over time.

    I don't think I am an expert.In my last through hike I lost 10 KG in 6 weeks . I hiked for 45 KM a day. I took only L-carnitin .ps:i was eating loads of food ,
    last year I did another thru hike without L carnitin. It was difficult, I did not have much energy and I could only reduce 2% of body weight,
    I tried the first 3 days only on Keto but it was simply not possible. I couldn't perfume well and recovery was not happening .
    this time around I want to optimize my result with right food and the right supplements .thank you

    30 days? At 35km (about 22 miles) per day if you're hiking that much you're probably moving at 4 to 5 mph, so you'll probably use a minimum of 400 calories per hour, more depending upon your pack, so that would be at least 3,200 calories per day plus your BMR. Hopefully your legs are in good shape. I don't think you'll need supplements, sounds like you'll be getting a pretty good workout. Great adventure, enjoy!

    thank you, on the trail I immediately feel the food I put into my mouth. no kidding.surely I can optimize it but I couldn't find anything useful as not everyone hike for 40 KM a day. but really is a boost . it jump starts everything, weight los, meditation etc, It just works .the first 10 days are difficult but your body adjust and adopt .towards the end I hiked for 60 KM. I felt like my legs was falling out. I though there is noway I can get up the next day so,I ate loads of food and next morning I could hike again. I really don't know what is happening to the body, it would be good ti find some information about these kind of extrem activities. have a nice day and thanks for your response :-)

    Curious to follow this, I'm hiking in the himalayas in a couple of months and would be quite happy to lose 5 kilos. Figure 6-8 hours hiking at altitude every day for 3 weeks has gotta be good for you?
