90.2kg this morning, 0.4kg loss is mainly dehydration from a TT that I did yesterday.

Did my 10,000 steps again today, this time taking a walk in the countryside for 3.5 miles. Going to eat chocolate tonight because why not - i've worked hard and deserve a little treat that's still within my calorie count.

90.1kg today. Maybe it wasn't all dehydration yesterday?

Either way, feel like **** today. I'll still do my workout this morning, and hopefully feel up for my planned ride this afternoon. It's pizza night tonight, so I could do with burning off the 400 odd calories my ride would provide.

Now I'm confirmed as sub 90.8kg, and goal one has been achieved, it's full steam ahead over the next 6 weeks to hit 85kg. Just under 1kg a week/2lbs a week is just over 1% of my body weight, so I'm bang on schedule.

I'm ill. I'm properly ill. Maybe covid ill.

That feeling **** turned into being in bed from 1pm until now, 10.45pm where I'm.hoping to finally get some sleep.

I've got shivers, chills, and a **** load of fatigue.

It's the craziest thing because I felt lousy, did my workout and benched 95kg 3x5 as per usual during, and hit all of the other numbers, then just fell apart within 3 hours.

Under wife's insistence I have had a bit of a re-feed today. Healthy version of a scone, loads of fruit, a pizza, a Lindt chocolate ball, probably eaten 2800-3000 calories, which sucks but hopefully my body appreciates the calorie count.

Phone consultation with the Doctor yesterday has led to a presumed positive diagnosis of Coronavirus.

It's day three and I have spent the whole night tossing and turning in a puddle of my own sweat. This isn't the worst I have ever been with an illness, but it's sure not a pleasant experience.

    Still down the with sickness.

I'm hoping to resume part two of my cut on Monday 18th, which would mean 11 days from covid symptoms appearing.

Weighed in at 91.4kg today, which would be a 1.4kg gain in 4 days - no way surely? I've probably overeaten on each day, however I'm ill - no point in worrying about it now, just get back on it when I'm well.

Slowly improving. I think I'll be walking a small bit tomorrow, and again Friday. I don't have much in me before I'm struggling for air, but I have to start somewhere.

Weight training still aiming for a resumption on Monday.

Still not sure about resumption on Monday. I'll be doing some light stuff tomorrow, and then see where things go.

    Overall aims:

30 Inch Vertical Leap - I want to dunk a basketball.
100m Sprint - sub 17 seconds (I've had my hips replaced, cut me some slack!)
    Sub 6 minute Mile
350w for 20 minutes on the bike
    Sub 60 second 100m Swim
    Sub 24 minute 1500m Swim

I'm going to film as much of this as I can, and try to learn how to make some video content. I work in marketing so always good to add new skills.

I need to get better first though...

Assume that my weight loss this week is due to stopping creatine supplementation. I'm at 88.9kg as of this morning, which is 11.7kg down on where I was at the start of March.

I have been planning on dropping to 85kg before I start to slow bulk. I'm still on target to achieve that in mid/late June.

Beyond that, my long term goal was 83.4kg and 12% bodyfat. I'm expecting that might look a bit DYEL, and am thinking that my long-long term aim should be aiming for 86kg and 10% bodyfat.

I've restarted six week shortcut to shred today having completed 99% of the first run-through before COVID struck me down. Today was Day 1, and i'm using the Strong mobile App and chose "Perform again" from my workout history. I've added a decent amount of weight onto the lifts from Day 1, which is really surprising given that I have dropped 8kg since I did Day 1 on my first run-through.

Only need to drop 4kg from here in order to hit that 85kg goal, and anything additional I lose on this 6 week cut is a bonus, provided I don't lose more than 9kg, as I don't want to drop below 80kg at any point - i'll be too small.

Project Dunk continued with more plyo box jumps. My left knee seems too FUBAR to isolate, however right knee and both legs together seemed ok.

Had news that the future of the business I work for would be discussed this morning, and this leaked during my workout. Threw me off totally, but forced my way through it and am pleased for pushing on. I know that today would have been a binge eating trigger, and I am trying my best to fight that.

I'm 67 days clean right now, and will hit 70 days on Friday - a full 10 weeks. I don't even remember the last time I managed such a long period of control over my addictions.

    Onwards and upwards.

I was eating a chocolate or sometimes two 4-5 days a week as a treat. That has been working out fine in the last 2 months as I've managed to drop 11kg, but I have just run out of that chocolate and have taken the decision not to buy more until this cut is over.

It's only 5.5 more weeks, so shouldn't be an issue, and would remove the last of the bad foods that I am taking in.

Just about to do Day 4 of Week 1 (Six week shortcut to shred) and hopefully I'll loosen up whilst I'm out there, as right now I don't feel great - yesterday was my first Post-Corona bike ride, and it's hit me somewhat!

70 days/10 weeks clean. Roll on June 21st, which will be 100 days.

Weighed in today at 89.4, which is a gain of 1.2kg vs Monday. I restarted creatine, lifting and cycling since that point, and I figure my body is retaining water (as expected with creatine) and adapting to the exercise beginning again.

I'm about 6 inches short of the rim right now on my attempts to learn to dunk. I figure I could consistently hang off of the hoop by late June as I am only in week one of adding jumps to my training, and I should also lose 4kg in that time, which would be 4.5% of my bodyweight.

Weighed in at 88.5kg today, which puts me on the right side of a 12kg loss - pretty much 26.5lbs right now.

Delayed my workout today as I woke up feeling pretty tight and sore - really looking forward to tomorrows active recovery. First week back in the gym has been tough!

Aiming to be at 87.8 - 88.1kg this time next week. That would then leave around 3kg in 4 weeks to hit my goal.

Six Week Shortcut to Shred continues.

    Week 2 (Week 8)
    Day 8 (Day 50)

Weighed in at 88.4kg this morning, and 20.2% bodyfat. I'm using biometric scales so take it with a pinch of salt.

Todays workout was a really good one, and I felt strong. Going for a 45 mile bike ride shortly as well, which will be a good calorie burner - i'll be having a cheat meal today whilst I am out on the bike as I have strong craving for takeaway chips, and it's better I do it on a day where I am burning 1200 calories on the bike.

    3.4kg to go. So close!

Yesterdays 45 mile bike ride turned out to be a 57 miler, which I needed considering the chicken and chips I had for lunch. Smashed my protein goal yesterday, but overdid my fats and sugars. Hopefully I lessened the damage by doing after 40 miles and before doing another 15 miles.

88.1kg today. Only 3.1kg to go...

Workout at midday today, and I have steak for dinner - going to hit those macros again today.

88kg today. That's giving me confidence of a potential 87.x for the Friday weigh in.

Good session this morning, equalling the volume/reps/weights for all of my exercises still. Very disappointing when the scales say 20.1% bodyfat and that my muscle volume is dropping as fast as my total body weight is.

Surely it's simply not possible to be getting 100g of protein per day, doing weights 6 days a week, losing around 1.1-1.4% of your total body weight each week and be seeing mainly muscle loss?

Still hoping for an 87.x tomorrow for weigh in - was 88.2kg today.

This mornings workout was another good one, however I have had to put off my bike ride for the day - I slipped when walking some woodland trails yesterday and cut my achilles pretty badly, and there is too much discomfort to cycle comfortably.

0.8kg a week if I am going to hit the 85kg target. Not feeling so confident right now.

I've had a crap day for eating. I probably went 400 calories over, which considering I used to eat 10,000 calories over it isn't a big deal.

It's really gotten me down. I should have been asleep 30 minutes ago, but I guess I need to vent.

I cannot stop thinking about food. I'm snacking more during the day, and it's not like I'm hungry - I am just finding myself back in that binge eating cycle, but without the available food to binge on due to lockdown.

I went for a walk a couple of days ago and I nearly took detours to local shops to buy food. I went to a supermarket for the first time in 3 months today, and the only reason I didn't break the clean eating/binge free streak was because I wasn't alone.

I fear what it's going to be like going forwards.

88kg today, feeling confident for 87.x tomorrow - feels like a lifetime ago that I got to 88kg for the first time.

Did my first swim in near 3 months today as lockdown has relaxed somewhat. I think I'll be outdoor swimming weekly from here on until the pools open in likely September.

    Feel so good today.

87.5kg today, scales reading 19.7% bodyfat. Take that as you will.

22 mile bike ride this morning, 4-6 mile walk for a lunchtime picnic. Easily going to be under my calorie count today on this basis.

87.1kg this morning. Going to a BBQ this evening so I'll be getting plenty of protein. Hopefully not overeat too much, but it's always a challenge as my family pig out at a BBQ and I find myself slipping into old habits.

Workout was solid this morning, and I'm about to do my 22 mile cycle route to burn some calories ahead of this evening's food.

Pretty much 2kg until I hit my cutting goal, and almost 4 weeks to achieve it. I've got this.

I don't know how to explain what just happened on my ride, but I had an amazing experience.

I was digging deeper and deeper, pushing on and kept going harder. Every time I began to fatigue I was able to break through it and keep going.

It wasn't a second wind situation, it was just a continuing ability to suffer, then take more suffering, then yet more.

My legs are wrecked now, but I set a new PB on my route by 4 minutes and 15 seconds, which is crazy.

Cheers, everything seems to be going to plan right now.

    03/06/20 - SWS2S Workout + 30 Minutes of Abs

Hitting the abs a bit harder at the moment as I really want to improve my core strength before returning to club swimming - I think that's between 4 and 8 weeks away right now.

Possibly going for a run at lunch time, but I may instead focus on some plyo work as I really want to improve my vertical and diving board spring, for basketball and swimming respectively. I don't even own a basketball, which shows where I am right now in terms of learning the sport, but I want to go outside of my comfort zone and learn something new. It can only be good for me to do a completely different type of physical exercise that's upper body rather than the lower of the football I was playing before injury last October.

It'd be great to follow some of you on your journeys, so if you've got an instagram then drop me a follow and i'll return.

Hit my workout today harder than any weights workout I've ever done. I feel like I'm getting better every day, both mentally and physically.

I've also bought some MyProtein chocolate protein brownies as I have found that a treat every 2-3 days is perfect for stopping my binge eating cravings. 23g of protein and less than 300 calories is awesome for something that feels so naughty.

Weighed in at 86.5kg this morning, which means I have now passed the 14kg lost mark! I have a 16kg weighted vest, and when I put it on I honestly can't believe that I used to carry that much extra weight around. Crazy progress.

Did the usual Six week shortcut to shred workout first thing, and followed up with 20 minutes of basketball and jump practice. First time I have ever played basketball, so that's been a steep learning curve, but I like that.

False pespective suggests I am over the rim, but actually I am just shy of touching it, so I have gained a little since my last efforts. Now I have a ball and am actually going to practice more often, my jumping should improve far quicker.

Onwards and upwards - I am 1.5kg away form my goal, and keen to see if I could make it 2-2.5kg before the cut finishes.

Rest day from six week shortcut to shred, but I don't do rest days. I cross train instead, and as I'm trying to become a better all round athlete, and am a competitive swimmer, it was lake time again today.

Endurance pace, 133bpm, sub-90 minutes to swim 3.1 miles / 5km. Pleased with that after so long out of the pool. I've got a 10km swim lined up in August, so I need to get the training in as the event may yet go ahead, likewise the 10km I've entered in September.

86.3kg today, 14.3kg down so far. Just 1.3kg to go, with 3 weeks remaining. I'm going to smash it.
