    Combining Strength Training with Running

I was wondering about the interference of strength training and running in the area of recovery. I usually do 5 strength trainings each week (bodybuilding/powerlifting) and would like to add 2-4 running workouts (sprints/tempo/long run). So, how does this affect my recovery? Do I still need complete rest days? Can I do both workouts in one day?

Best would be 2-3 running workouts inthe morning during the week, not on leg day, followed by a LSD run on saturday morning.

You'll be fine. Make certain you are eating right.

yes and yes. You can have three workouts each day. Competing athletes may even have four training sessions a day. Make sure workouts are separated by few hours and at least one meal in between. Don't skip rest days, they are important.
