well I'm super impressed

I like Izzy a lot but I still thought his MMA game was incomplete and he hadn't had a real true test to prove he's up there with the absolute best (Silva too old, Brunson not a true top 5, Kelvin too small for the division).

Thought Robert would be too explosive and too powerful and would catch him and KO him. Never thought that if Yoel couldn't put Whittaker away that Izzy would be able to.

Israel's movement is so damn crisp and his gauge of distance was impeccable. Any of those early bombs Robert was throwing would likely KO him but Izzy was always right out of the way just in time, and all while conserving energy and not jumping out of the way, just sliding out by inches.

Izzy is fukin legit. Wow.

Kelvin Is a god damn warrior though.

And yup. I remember watching Izzy fight in the ring and I thought “if he transitions to UFC it’s over”...his ability to move and dodge and slip is absolutely incredible.

Considering the advantages Whittaker had wrestling his gameplan didn't make a lick of sense. It was literally Wonderboy all over again for him.

Costa will manhandle Israel up against the cage, and his power will be too much for him.

I do feel he is Dana's MW golden boy, and is treated as such. He really has bypassed a lot of bad match ups on his way to the title. No Romero, Weidman, Rockhold, Souza. He has yet to face someone who will make it a point to take him down. He's also the beneficiary of an aging division

But still, he is fun to watch and seems to be having fun and isn't offensive by any means

Hes just a twat, I dont like grown ass men who do choreographed dance routines on the way into a fist fight.

The way he got laid out first round, if that round was 5 seconds longer it would have been over right there. Sure he got right back up, pure survival instinct but I doubt he had his wits about him to actually fight is another story. He was doing a good job of coming in low onto the inside and getting some shots.

On Israel he's damn good, not saying anything against him, he deserves the title he got. Damn he's a good fighter. However, someone will figure his game out. He is weak when someone comes in on the inside he really had no fight or defense there, all he can do is get them back on the outside where he is strong. Like some others have said, someone is going to get him up on the cage wall and put in work and it's not going to do well.

He's so cawky too. It seems guys like him that are on a winning streak like that, undefeated, once someone cracks their code they never can get their combination back together.
