Just saw this story. He checked into rehab for an anti-depressant that he was on to deal with his wife's illness, which she has fully recovered from now. His daughter posted a video with an update on JP. Sounds like he took his wife's illness really bad.
His daughter is critical of pharmaceuticals. That's surprising considering Jordan is a clinical psychologist. JP has talked about SSRIs helping him through depression and anxiety in the past. It will be interesting to see what JP has to say about pharmaceuticals going forward.
It's shocking how many people are on SSRIs. There's more to be discussed on that but not allowed here.

It makes sense now that he battles with depression. I'm not a fan of his but hope anyone can get off being addicted and dependent on any substance.

Was on two different SSRIs (not at the same time derp) in my last year as a firefighter. Came to the realization one day I didn't need that **** either and stopped cold turkey... and yes I realize that's not what you're supposed to do. Find other ways.

Yup, you better be sure and if you are don’t stay on for years. Read the forums about the horrible withdrawal symptoms people experience, a lot of people end up giving up and taking them forever. They might as well be like any other addiction to pills after a while, your brain chemistry changes and cannot cope without the drug srs

It has nothing to do with depression or SSRIs.
If you read the article he's on a prescription med and I am on the same one, too. The withdrawal symptoms are pure hell. It's like someone threw you in a pool of acid and is taking your stomach and stomping on it, while you have the flu. But I was already in hell with severe anxiety and begging for relief, so I tried everything else for 2 years including herbs, meditation, and finally said fuk it, I don't care what the side effects are, I just need to feel somewhat normal again.

A) That is not an antidepressant.
B) The low IQ individuals ITT fail to understand that at no point in time has Jordan Peterson ever indicated that he is some kind of magician that can cure depression.
He has admitted to using antidepressants in the past (real ones, not the medication you are mistaking for one), and I'm sure he would be the first to admit he has mental illness however.#FreeCryptoBandit

Gotta love it.
My wife had a cancer scare back in 2011. I was pretty fukked up for those couple weeks of testing and it turned out she didn't have it. I can't put any blame on anyone for needing an anti anxiety med when their spouse has cancer. Doesn't matter who they are or what their occupation is.
