    Going to bulk soon, am I doing it right?

    Hi all,

    So I am still at a cut but about to bulk soon (hurahh) I am now 13% bf (aim to get to 10) down from 20 odd!. I have lost 7kg and look pretty lean (lost a lot of bulk but that's cutting I guess) waist down from 35inches to 32.

    I started cutting at 87kg and I am now at 80kg

    Anyway when I bulked last time I did it the dirty way, i gained muscle without doubt but went from 12% bf to 20 in a year.

    I didn't track macros, just ate 200g protein and the rest was what I felt like.

    I now plan to track macros, i heard i should add 300kcal to my matainence calories for best results (keeping fat down) and aim for approx 0.5 to 1kg a month weight gain.

    Does this sound about right? I've been training for years but only properly for about 2 or so.

    Your plan sounds good. Use as many tools as possible to gauge progress - scale, training progress, pics every couple weeks, waist measurements, etc..
