    Don't get the screen name twisted... LOL.. while I do love my Mustangs I am not brand loyal (as long as its not a Dodge).

    I own a '13 & '15 GT and have driven a mildly modded '17 WRX that a buddy owns and personally I would spend my money on the Mustang over the WRX... they are fun little cars and handle well but just leave you wanting more... and the second you give them more $hit starts to break

    Now to choose out of the year range given... don't fk around trying to save a couple of hundred bucks.... go straight to the '18 with the 10 speed auto

    Really depends. Typically you pay more for the refined AWD system that cheaps out on things like interior. With the mustang you'll get more performance but rwd lacking the awd. I think the defining factor for me would be how much I want the AWD.

    i was 50/50 earlier today and after doing some more research i am leaning towards the mustang. unless i get a killer deal on the wrx.

    GT all day. Auto or manual (but if you go manual, be careful of the clutch forks). I know you want a manual but give the 10 speed auto a chance. Go drive one and i bet you'll think differently about the trans.

    My neighbor has a wrx, stage 2. It's slow. It doesn't even sound good (he has a muffler delete and a J pipe??). So it sounds like a honda civic with a turbo whistle when you rev it at idle. Acceleration is all noise but it doesn't go anywhere. I been in the car many times. He drives hard and he's doing all this shifting and like 20 seconds later he's at 110mph. I'm like dude. How? What's wrong with the car?

    Don't get it twisted thinking you HAVE TO HAVE AWD for winter. I had a chitty 5th gen camaro before with snow tires and i never ever got stuck ever. Drove in NYC snow storms and i never had any issue. Going up hills etc. Cars have traction control and torque management for these conditions. When you pair it with good snow tires, you'll be just as fine as AWD cars.
    Schooling everyone that has to do with automotive one brah at a time. It's tiring but someone gotta do it lol

    WRX's and STI' are trash. Be prepared to spend ridiculous $$ to get it fast, then even more $$ for all the supporting mods to keep it on the road.







    At the end of the day, the little 4 banger will take more $$ and will give you less that a mustang with basic bolt ons and a decent tune. Also (not sure of your age) but driving a WRX will give you the boy-racer vape pen vibes... hard pass.

    The Mustang GT is the smarter buy but both are good cars.

    Mustang will take a lot of mods before the engine blows
    STI is going to get real expensive real fast once you start modding it

    Downside of the Mustang GT is everyone has one and it doesn't have AWD.

    I never understood American companies fascination with making fast cars with no AWD.

    Modders be like you don't need AWD
    Modders also be like I have drag radials on the back and still spin to 40mph
    Modders still be like why did that WRX destroy me to 60mph when I have a lot more HP????@!




    If you want to be a cock sucker buy a Mustang Ecoboost and mod it. Ultimate sleeper car. Turbos, Fuel Pump, Spark plugs, Three bar map sensor, Tune and you'll hit 600hp lol

    GT chits on the wrx but I wouldnt get a m6 because of the aluminum shift fork issues.

    Get a gently loved gt350 if you want a 6 speed stang or a 10 speed 18

    I doubt you're getting a 10 second wrx on pump gas

    Modifying a wrx period is idiotic.

    Unless you want the cheapest AWD turbo car with a manual, i guess the wrx is the way to go.

    But the gearing sucks, the build quality sucks and it's not even fast. The stock tune gives you an illusion of it being fast because they fiddle with the throttle mapping so when you gently press on the throttle, the computer is actually giving it 2-3 times that output. So you think you're giving it 15% throttle but the computer reads it and gives it 50%. The stock tune also implements the annoying rev hang.

    To get rid of it, you have to flash the computer using a cobb. When you do that, you lose the low end torque because there is no more throttle mapping illusion. When you give it 10% throttle, that's all you got, is 10%. And of course when you flash the computer, say good bye to the warranty. And yes it's recorded the moment you flash it, regardless if you go back to the stock tune before warranty work. It's recorded permanently. IE: factory tune will show "0". You flash it ONCE, it changes it to "1" and remains there. Buh bye warranty.

    And plus who wouldn't want a V8 in their life? Just the sound and low end torque alone is what should drive people to own one. Even if you're not a particular fan of such brand (ford, dodge, chevy etc).

    V8 is phucking life.

    To get rid of it, you have to flash the computer using a cobb. When you do that, you lose the low end torque because there is no more throttle mapping illusion. When you give it 10% throttle, that's all you got, is 10%. And of course when you flash the computer, say good bye to the warranty. And yes it's recorded the moment you flash it, regardless if you go back to the stock tune before warranty work. It's recorded permanently. IE: factory tune will show "0". You flash it ONCE, it changes it to "1" and remains there. Buh bye warranty.

    And plus who wouldn't want a V8 in their life? Just the sound and low end torque alone is what should drive people to own one. Even if you're not a particular fan of such brand (ford, dodge, chevy etc).

    V8 is phucking life.
    I found some retards running a 50 psi sti with total rebuilt engine and meth to break 10s, 25k+ to still get walked by a V8 at @10psi that isn't going to explode after a single glory run.

    An 18+ GT will destroy a wrx and an STI. And that's a manual. The 10 speed auto is even faster.

    Subaru's aren't performance cars. They are cars for lesbian/soccer moms that want to feel safe so they get a subaru because it's AWD. The entire lineup is slow.

    So no wrx/sti driver is going to "eat" a mustang on the street. Especially if they encounter an auto mustang.

    Every pass he made, he blew the engine, rebuilt it, did street testing, went to the track, blew the engine again lol.

    Those cars are a phucking nightmare. If you leave it stock, they're adequate. And even then i wouldn't even bother. So many better cars out there, especially now.

    In my stock GT, I have encountered some modified WRXs that can best me in certain situations, mostly off the line, or making a turn from a stop.

    If the car is modified, the sky is the limit. Clearly you're not talking about a stage 1 or 2 wrx. Those chits are SO SLOW. I know because my neighbor has a stage 2 wrx. It's slow.

    Now big turbo, E85 etc, well then yeah of course it'll be faster. The point is that it takes so much money to get those cars fast, and they're unreliable as chit. The FA20 can't see more than 380whp before it starts to snap those weak ass rods. And the EJ is ancient with the chitty ring land issue.

    V8 all day.
