    Rest periods

How many days do you prefer to rest a muscle group? I take 2-3 days of not training that muscle group. I find that when i go three days i can do more the next workout. Im still not sure if its just mental, outside factors, or due to the actual recovery of the muscles group.
On the other hand I like the idea of 2 days (at least for my pressing movements) cause i can get it in more frequently. im trying to hit 225 × 1 or 5 reps within 4 to 6 months. Im at 170 x 4/5. Still not sure if i should do 3 days for that extra recovery.

Depends on how you program those days. Lower frequency allows higher volume/fatigue accumulation per session. I mostly do full body 4x week.
