    Bloating with coffee?

    I’ve read a lot about how coffee can help during cutting. But I bloat up every time I drink it — even when it’s black. Has anyone else experienced this? I seem to have the same problem with teas. The only drink consistently causing no bloating seems to be still water.

    Are you a regular coffee drinker?

    Some coffee can effect the gastric acid production and seems to be related to a persons tolerance and gut health (IBS symptoms). Changing to a dark roast may help reduce symptoms.

    I used to drink it regularly. I stopped when I realized it was causing bloat. Interesting theory about the roast: I drank almost exclusively light roasts. I’ll give a dark roast a try.

    What else is in your stomach when you drink the coffee?
    It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society.

    It's easy to not be afraid of tigers when you're sitting in your living room watching a television program about tigers. When you're in the jungle where the tigers are, it's quite a different story.

    Dark roast i believe tends to be more acidic. One thing to consider is that if you're drinking it with meals, it can hinder digestion to some degree, so foods that at some point may not have caused bloat might become a problem.

    I usually drink it in the morning on an empty stomach. But I’ve experienced bloating with food as well.

    what about espresso shot because if you chug 10-15oz coffee sheer amount of liquid will make you bloat

    In addition to bloat from indigestion, too much caffeine can actually cause water retention due to dehydration. This would only apply if you're super-sensitive to caffeine though, as I assume one cup of joe wouldn't be enough to dehydrate you and make you start retaining such an amount of water.

    I drink cold brew with breakfast, then walk to the gym and pour a cup of covfefe (free at my gym), sip it through warm up and first exercise. Then I get another cup and sip it til I leave. Then I top off on my way out.
