Women are FINALLY about to be equals in Engineering!

Why is this a bad thing?

-More women for the guys in the courses to date
-Most of these women will transfer out anyway once they realize they are under-qualified to do the bare minimum
-The ones that do graduate will have unemployable GPAs, and either won't be hired by companies with an institutional GPA requirement, or be quota-hired and put in positions to minimize the damage.

This is all upside for FA engineers like myself. I think they are doing the women a great disservice by admitting them into a program they aren't qualified for, but I'm sure that will be remedied quickly with sexism curves, do whatever.

The pipeline I am worried about keeping open isn't women in STEM, it is Indians to the West. Those guys are like literally half of our best and brightest engineers. China used to be about equal with India as a talent pipeline, but it's starting to close off as new Chinese grads are returning home to a strong economy there rather than staying here. If Indians start going back home, then all our R&D will have to be done by white men, and those guys are chit at it.

These girls get pipelined to management positions within a few years at defense companies aye lmao. It's much worse than you think.

nah women definitely have that proclivity to humanities jobs but we need more women engineers because i want more hot chicks at my meetings

the shiit is easy if you can pass diff eq's you can design a bridge

idk if thats like FE/PE. we dont allow no one to work here who cant pass the PE, so it doesnt matter. HOWEVER, the work tasks are like 1 10th as difficult as the PE/FE.

No idea what the ATAR could be compared to but I can def. agree on the actual workload can't compare to the course load / exams. Exactly why I am able to use one of three monitors dedicated to the misc.

No one talks about the lack of male PAs, nurse practitioners, Occupational therapists, physical therapists, registered nurses etc. Those are great majors that GRANTEE you a job. I know quite a few Engineers who are unemployed.
