This thread has been started for anything related to food, whether it is healthy or not. Supposed to be fun and open to anyone who loves food which is probably everyone. I love to cook and what seems to be simple, can actually be complicated to perfect.
To start off, the below is my attempt at pizza. I was hungry for pizza but I admit that I didn't have all the ingredients to make it exactly the way i wanted, like 00 flour and cake yeast. Pizza is not easy and there are many variations that use oil and don't use oil, different yeasts, timing, some are sour dough, etc... So, this was not my greatest attempt, but given the time I had, I give myself a C. I also didn't have the tomatoes I wanted to make fresh sauce. That is for another day. Proper dough needs to be in the fridge covered at least over night.
So, I hope this thread might activate some interest. You can also post pictures of your food at a restaurant. Whatever.

Rep worthy, but I cant rep...
Nice. I use Bobby Flay's pizza crust recipe and then just add my toppings. I use a 15inch Cast Iron skillet for a deep dish, and a flat cast iron for a thin crust pizza.
My fav is a thin crust pizza with spinach, whole garlic cloves, chicken, mozz cheese and for the sauce, I roast mushrooms and onions - then put them in the Ninja blender and mix it with greek yogurt.
Its kinda pretty healthy.

Here is one very few people outside India know about. Its called Chana Saag. Its basically a Chick Pea curry. I use a recipe by Budget Bytes and make it a bit healthier. I use a can of low fat coconut milk instead of evaporated milk and add turmeric and black pepper. This makes it a great anti-inflammatory meal. Great balance of protein, fat and carbs.
Its the dish beside the green beans.
Every Fri night, I cook for my mom and grandmother. This night we had Green Beans with tons of garlic... like 3 whole bulbs and some apple cider vinegar, Chana Saag, Mac & Cheese (for the kids ) and Mexican meatballs. I add enchilada sauce to the meatballs and the sauce.

I felt like working on my baking chops a few Saturdays ago, so I made some Cinnamon Rolls from scratch. Totally from scratch.
Raw cinnamon rolls after 1 hour of rising.
Second glass of red wine which is necessary for properly focusing on the job at hand.
Cinnamon Rolls right out of the pre-heated oven at 375 for 9 minutes. Plus about 1 minute under broiler to brown tops.
Finished Cinnamon Rolls after glaze. I purposefully made the glaze thin, because I don't like things too sweet.
I have to say that they came out very nicely.Helping one person may not change the world, but it could change the world for one person.

LOL
Very nice of you to bake a cake for your son. Looks good. Now, a professional baker might say that you should ice the sides, too. But, I like yours because if you do ice the sides, it makes it really sweet.
How old is your son and how did German Chocolate Cake enter his mind?Helping one person may not change the world, but it could change the world for one person.

Crabmeat and brown rice with onions, celery, red and yellow peppers.
I always prepare rice in the Zojirushi pressure cooker with broth. Perfect rice erry time. Good eats people!
