Just ran out and took my son to lunch. He was not feeling well and did not go to school so I took the opportunity to get him moving with the promise of nachos at his favorite place.
I had an 8oz burger (they grind their own meat there and their burgers are GREAT!) I also ate about 3/4 of the nacho platter
Some other recent lunches. Dozen wings cooked at home with some fries and onion rings
My fired chicken (been doing this sometimes twice a week for lunch
Some pizza, and other, brick oven cooking!

Ok, drove to my lake house yesterday morning and made some burgers. I bought some 80/20 beef and seasoned with salt and pepper.
After warming up the grill and cleaning it well, I started some apple wood chips form some good smoke. In the first pic you can see the smoking chips metal container I use. Works well.
Hindsight is always 20/20, but I should have patted my burger meat down more, as they were pretty thick, but they came out tasting awesome and my brother said it was one of the best burgers he has ever had.
My version of California Burgers
Meat on the grill and smoker to the left.
Fresh guacamole, sliced onion and tomatoes and toasted whole wheat buns
Completed burger
