What a comeback from United and Cavani yesterday! Man I was about ready to turn it off at 25 mins and down 2-0 after squandering a couple chances...my heart almost couldn't take it.
and now reading Cavani is probably going to be suspended for saying "gracias negrito" to a follower who congratulated him on the win....

I guess it is:
The draw is the biggest league gap ever between two teams in the third round of the FA Cup.
did some digging and there's a site about FA Cup upsets by lower division teams: https://www.thegiantkillers.co.uk/
this seems to be the biggest upset in round 3 so far, a division 5 team win over Newcastle from top flight:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Herefo...wcastle_United
so a Marine win would do better with 3 complete divisions
go Mariners! (lmfao)
also: they already played 7 games to reach this round!+++ miscin' at work crew +++

I was looking at where they are in the pyramid in relation to the village club I support, Pewsey Vale FC. Marine are only 1 or 2 steps ahead. Mental.
Spurs are definitely playing their youngsters for this match."Milk is for babies. When you grow up you have to drink beer." - Arnold

tonight payback for das Büchsenwurfspiel?
vid is in German but basically Mönchengladbach humiliated Inter 7-1 in the '71 EC1 but Inter went crying to UEFA for the match to be replayed
reason: an allegedly trown can of Coke hitting an Inter player
UEFA sided with the Italians and in the replay Gladbach was eliminated
@ khatskevitch: sorry brah but in this feud I'm on team Gladbach, Inter raus!
(also Lukaku playing @ Inter isn't helping their case lmfao)+++ miscin' at work crew +++

still possible but I can see it happening that the 2 powerhouses in the group still go through after all... sucks
luckily there's also Salzburg - Atletico with everything to play thanks to the late Bayern equalizer so another chance for the underdog there as well next week+++ miscin' at work crew +++

this
another VAR intervention that caused some discussion from the Belgian league this weekend
so referee initially gives a yellow but changes into a red after VAR interpellation
what's you brahs take on this???
https://twitter.com/ElevenSportsBEn/...50786406948864
in Belgium the consensus for 99% of the analyst (of which a lot former football players) was that it wasn't even a card
the referee department on the other hand defended the decision and said clear red... (LMFAO clowns)+++ miscin' at work crew +++

Thing with VAR is that as a concept, it's great. Too bad it's being operated by incompetent people and rules regarding VAR seem to change every other weekend. brb arm offside according to VAR, goal disallowed. Either have some consistency, let us listen to the referee dialogue during reviews like in rugby and actually hold the refs accountable for bad calls or fuking scrap it completely cause right now it does more bad than good.

this, it's the sheer randomness by which it seems to be implemented that causes frustration

It's like they're giving us all a giant middle finger since virtually everyone was calling for it. So they're like fuk you. Kinda like when the NFL introduced the pass interference review. No calls got overturned.
The concept IS great if the rules are applied consistently and with the intent of the rule. Look at the intent of the offsides rule. The player is at no advantage if their pinky is a millimeter beyond the defender. It's madness. It's such a simple fix too."Milk is for babies. When you grow up you have to drink beer." - Arnold

VAR is still a huge improvement over the alternative. I don't know why people pretend that letting blatantly wrong calls stand is better than VAR's problems. Many of the complaints about VAR are a silly, as well. If a player is offside, they are offside. What are we supposed to have, some absurdly subjective rule that if a player is only slightly offside, it doesn't count? Where would the dividing line be?
Real Madrid is probably going to survive, sadly. They will probably only need a draw since they hold the tiebreaker over Inter, and you'd expect Inter to beat Shakhtar Donetsk at home.

nobody is against a VAR if it were properly implemented but how it is now it's really just another source of frustration tbh
also, besides the implementation there are already some strange things in the fundamental rules about when the VAR can intervene: f.e. yes for a straight red, no for a second yellow... logic?
and a purely subjective aversion from my own supporter point of view is (besides taking out the emotion) that it often happens there is a blatantly wrong call that still stands after VAR - before VAR I could just tell myself the referee just didn't see it right and he's not willingly trying to screw my team over, now if he watches replays from all possible angles and STILL makes a wrong call how am I supposed to interpret this, srsly?
if you need a magnifying glass to see it it doesn't fall under "clear error" imo and in that case the referee's decision should just stand tbh...
in the case of yesterday the biggest discussion wasn't even about the inch offside but whether the player influenced the game or not which is still rather subjective
still hoping for that double upset in the group lol+++ miscin' at work crew +++

Istanbul-Red Bulls was a great game. Seven goals and the winner in stoppage time. Man U-PSG has been excellent as well. To be honest, Man U were pretty good despite the loss. They were dominating the second half, but PSG scored against the run of play and a minute later Fred got his second yellow. I'm still optimistic that Man U will be eliminated next week.

Martial damnit... never been so pissed at him before. He pretty much lost us the game. Atleast we know Man Utd is the better team overall and diving and pony show PSG barely squeak out a result through luck. Bullchit game. Stupid ******* ref.
