maybe not destroyed but it did leave a mark for sure
still has my respect of course for what he did before that but also for what he did with United and Roma after (agree to disagree)
damn, just thought I'd post a fun vid about the Balotelli bit, didn't want to ignite this entire discussion lmfao
Pep still a fraud though ayyyyy
in other news: silverware for Feyenoord, I'm sure you love that

Leicester are going back up boys, promotion clinched! Now it’s just about winning the title.
There are some really good pieces and PL quality on this team especially in attack. Hoping they can pick up some solid players from relegated teams like Chong or Barkley. Top half finish is definitely doable in 2025

I did think Leicester's relegatoin last year was genuine bad luck, but....
It's strange after how such a dip in form they could get a 100 point season. Good players but something is a bit off. I don't follow Leicester really, but I'd be interested to see what the perception of Maresca becomes and if some ideal signings are made.
Thing is though, to sign some ideal players you would need relegation clauses and that could put players off given the points deduction. They would need staying up bonuses to attract and keep good players, and three good players run out their contracts in the summer, right?
I hope the right moves are made, and they need to be made. Otherwise you could just do a Burnley and go right back down the trap door.
EDIT: Me personally, I am cheering for the win over Spurs but dismayed at Forest losing to City. Forest had 4 clear chances and just couldn't finish, I thought they had a shot at winning that game. Had they won, it gives power back to Arsenal to win the rest of the games and take the title.
Now I still worry City will take the title and it will be an entirely soulless victory.Last edited by Bodhy; 04-29-2024 at 02:12 AM.
Back off, Warchild.
Seriously.

Burnley have actually found some form and may yet survive, though that’s another conversation.
What you described is unfortunately the reality for teams in the Leicester type of level every season. You’ll never get the Haaland types so you have to find journeyman, guys past their prime, or young players who haven’t quite hit their prime on loan looking for minutes they wouldn’t get on the top teams that own them. LCFC also have guys out on loan in Kristiansen, Soumare, and Thomas that should return and help. I’d be surprised if relegation were a legit concern next year as the season progresses but you just never know.
Feels like a season of destiny for Arsenal. Getting all the calls, bounces, and always finding a play when they need one.

More silverware incoming to Leicester. Even with last year being a cruel reminder of how heartbreaking football can be, this is a great club to be a fan of. Since I’ve started following them I’ve now gotten to enjoy 2 second tier titles, winning the FA cup, and a PL title. Some fan bases don’t get to see that many trophies in a lifetime.
Great day. Bring on the PL and let’s not see if we can’t overachieve and make a run at a European spot in 2025
