That's the entire point, though. You're not a good coach, or a manager, or a tactician if you're just sport washing. Anyone could make a team that steamrolls everyone else if you're just handed a blank cheque.
City have their money through selling their soul to Arab oligarchs so they could legitimise their blood money, and have it associated with sports success rather than human rights violations.
The EPL is turning into a farmer's league driven by human rights violations and financial crimes. Manchester United dominated for a long stretch but that's because Sir Alex was a brilliant manager and tactician. They built themselves up over years through legitimate and sportsmanlike means.
If Arsenal were used as a sportswashing scheme, I'd consider finding a new club. The guaranteed success would be good but deep down it would be tainted and covering up atrocities and it's not my philosophy of the game. So you can't just cry sore loser here.Back off, Warchild.
Seriously.

Welcome to modern football, almost every big club in europe is backed by some rich ****s.
The ones responsible are FIFA and governments, they let it devolve into this hyper capitalist circus.
And Real Madrid also has a dirty history, like many clubs. It's all corrupt sh*t in the end.
I only care about watching quality football and manchester city provides it.

You have some pretty bizarre contrarian takes man srs.
You may say I'm biased living in Manchester, but the stats say it all: the Premier League attracts 3.2+ billion viewers worldwide. Nothing compares.
Outside there are a fair few decent smaller Euro leagues. Personally I like Liga Portugal & Ligue 2 (France) for betting, but does anyone else ITT other than TokenV even watch Jupiler?! Lol.

not that weird imo that it makes absolutely no sense to me how anyone can claim to support a team from a country/city far away where you have no affection with whatsoever
I'm born and raised Belgian, I follow my team since forever and they happen to play in the Belgian league, I never claimed it to be a good league for a casual to follow lol
what the latter is concerned I would recommend Bundesliga to them since they have amazing tradition, community and fan bases + they didn't sell their souls to the devil unlike virtually any "English" team
if that's contrarian so be it+++ miscin' at work crew +++

Agreed brah. BTW Eredivisie has some good action. Confuses me though why they split the games up so much esp across Sundays.
Virtually any English team lol do you know how deep the pyramid is here?!
Premier League
Championship
League One
League Two
National League
x2 National League North & South
x4 Isthmian, NPL, S-Central, S-South
> Then goes much deeper
AFAIK there are 480 divisions, so well over 7000 teams.
Plenty of great underdog stories and betting is actually much more fun the lower down you go. Can at least understand why the money thing bothers you. I suppose you hate what Ryan Reynolds is doing with Wrexham lol?! Love it myself.

we were talking about the Premier League, just phrased it like that to illustrate there's almost not a single team in English hands anymore
the Wrexham story is a weird one lol, what are their intentions there (I mean where do they want/expect it to end?)
I get more enjoyment out of teams with lesser means rising above themselves through organisation, discipline, mentality, etc.
cynical take, but how hard is it to get a team with a blank cheque and the best players in the world to outclass the others
Bundesliga getting nothing but hate because of Bayern yet we're supposed to mire City and PSG
weird+++ miscin' at work crew +++

It's pretty damn hard. Look at Chelsea, Man United and Barcelona this year. What Newcastle did this year was impressive too. Sure, they got the oil money but their team doesn't look that stacked and they still managed to get third place.
I get rooting for the underdog, but not enjoying the kind of football City is playing this season seems a bit weird. It's a beautiful game to watch and they basically built the perfect team. I haven't read many pro PSG stuff on here at all. It's just boring when it's one team in the league. But the premier league is stacked across the board and you really need to do everything well to win it. I don't even think City has the highest budget of them all.

Yeah you do sound very cynical. Better to just accept reality and enjoy the beauty that is football in all it's glory. The final tomorrow is gonna be fun. I expect Inter to overfocus on stopping Haaland, freeing up space for players like de Kev, Grealish and Gundogan to show up in the final third and make the difference.

Just be happy at your product in European football as a whole. MLS is usually pretty unwatchable, and the Mexican league isn’t much better (though club America has a pretty huge payroll). If either league could get close to the caliber of Belgium or Holland that would be a big deal, but it will never happen.

I think moneywise the MLS just passed the Dutch league when that new Apple deal hit. The thing is the league system is so weird though. Between playoffs, salary caps and drafting(???) I can't even keep track anymore. Level wise the league isn't very good though. Seems like they mainly overpay old stars and their homegrown talent isn't very good.
I only like one league system and that's no playoffs, no championship groups and other shenanigans. Just play x amount of games and whoever has the most points at th end wins.

Agreed with everything you said. Playoff totally negates the regular season, and makes the league title feel like a cup. dumb.
We’ve had Henry, Beckham, Zlatan, Rooney, Lampard, Pirlo, and several other household names all at end of their career. I don’t see how the current model ever improves the product.

While I can at least tolerate something like a CL or WC group stage I'd be fine with the CL consisting of 128 teams and just have them all start in the same round in a KO stage. Seed just the top 16 and nothing more and let's go. Sadly it's not realistic and they're only moving further away from that in the coming years. At least with 4 more teams in the CL I think the Netherlands might get 3 CL tickets.
