    Squats/deadlifts growth stunt

I’ve been doing both squats and deadlifts for 8 months, I’m 16 and haven’t grown anything in height since. I should be 1.85m if we base it upon my parent’s height but I’m only 1.74m. I read that it does make you shorter but if you’re an occasional lifter it will release testosterone and make you taller. Am I an occasional lifter if I do both twice a week?

    How heavy should I do?

I’m currently doing 95kg times 5 on regular days and 85 for pause.

Neither stunt your growth. That's a myth.

    Myth

Also, it's a myth that it releases test... you will grow the same height regardless of whether you squat and deadlift or not.

However, you should if you want to look good and be a strong guy.

I mean. It’s not a myth that squatting compresses your spine, is it lol? Could you link me some research that suggests that?

It's a temporary effect. When you wake up the next morning, it's back to normal.

How about you find a study which proves your point of view? You won't find one.
