    Liquid calories

    Hi guys

Decided to start bulking properly recently (was going so a few years back but was quite lazy about it) and had a question about liquid calories. Much of my calorie intake is coming from foods but like most I've decided to supplement it with some whole milk and a mass gainer to reach my daily calorie goals. I have a question about calculating calorie gains. I'm using ON's Serious Mass which gives you 1250 calories when you add water to it. I'm drinking a little over 2L of whole milk a day which according to the label gives me 1220 calories. Stupid question but does this mean the amount of liquid calories I'm consuming is therefore 2470 or is there more to it when it comes to counting calories with powdered supplements?

    Thanks guys!

a calorie is a calorie, either liquid or solid form. Besides that, why are you getting 2500 calories from shakes and milk? Eat some dang food

Don't know how many overall calories you're getting in daily but this could lead to vitamin/mineral deficiencies getting that much from gainer daily. Besides that, there's no problem with what you're doing. If you enjoy consuming that over non-supplemental food, more power to you. Don't let these nasty bullies tell you how to eat.

Make your own shake and so much better. Try the 1MANU PR Shake (with or without milk tastes awesome):

    16 oz milk
2 scoops of your fav choc whey...Ghost PB cereal whey is best I have had. Digests easily and taste is unreal.
    3 cups of Reeses cereal
    1 banana
    a few ice cubes

1000 calories, 80g of protein, and slam in 20 seconds. Tastes awesome.
I do this thing called "Whatever I want."

I've recently been topping my pre-workout shake with cereal like CTC, sprinkle it on after blending and have a nice crunch along with my shake

Roger that. Tough to tell over the internet. I just can't see how 2500 calories per day from milk and weight gainer shakes it either enjoyable, sustainable or healthy.

What does "bulking properly" mean? If you mean taking in a lot of excess calories to build extra muscle you'll just get fat. You need only slightly over maintenance calories to gain muscle as a natural lifter not to mention a proper training program.

Yeah I’ve found that jokes and sarcasm are two hard things to translate over the internet lol.

Everybody’s different. For instance, I like a few combinations of foods that would be considered the devil by some ha
