We spend 8 hours a day at work. Some even more.
So what do you guys put in the lunch box. Is bread a complete no-no?
Protein shake is at the top of my list. What else is recommended or not recommended. I'm on a calorie deficit to get rid of belly and chest fat.
Breakfast is normally oats. Coffee afterwards. Some mornings only coffee. I take a multivitamin in the morning as well.
I eat every 2 & a half hours.

I typically grill some meat on my countertop grill, throw in half a bag of steamed vegetables (usually California medley), and then throw a bit of carbs in there (either a serving of rice or a small red/sweet potato - I usually heat up the latter in the microwave beforehand). Throw some hot sauce on it and it's good to go. Sometimes I'll have a skyr or piece of fruit with it.

I try to sleep in as long as possible so breakfast is a shake while driving to work (milk, oats, banana, peanut butter, whey)
Morning tea example is: Mandarin, carrot, mixed nuts, cheese & crackers
Lunch is most time left overs. Just me and my misses so at dinner we make enough for 4 and both take lunch. Usual meat rice/;potato, vege etc. Balanced meal
Usually skip afternoon tea as it feels too soon after lunch so do that once I get home

one cup of oatmeal with water, one banana, one protein shake, fish oil, and animal pak for breakfast
one grilled chicken breast, diced, in a tortilla with onions and lettuce, and a protein shake for lunch
been this way for years ...... every single day ..... over and over .... again and againI don't necessarily agree with everything I say.

stuff I eat on my breaks.
Rice cakes, dry fruits, whey protein, string cheese, apple, banana, Gatorade protein bars, yogurt. all of these on different days.
for lunch
chicken with broccoli, egg omelette with greens, pasta, chicken and rice, rice and beans, or indian home cooked food which is just like tortillas with vegetables.Arsenal F.C.

Big Salad.
Leaves. (Spinach, arrugula, beet greens, or kale, etc)
Cubed beets
Green olives
Crumbled cheese (cotija or feta)
Walnuts
Chives
And the topper-2 cans kippered herring. Sometimes replaced by 4-6 oz shredded chicken or ground beef.
My lady wonders how I don't get bored. Can eat this for weeks.Last edited by Johnez; 08-17-2019 at 04:21 AM.

Lately I've been shopping on break at Target for lunch snacking. I take leftovers when available. Snacks include:
Mixed raw nuts
Hard cheese, salami, crackers
Plain greek yogurt, mixed with fresh smashed berries
Eggs, cheese sticks, turkey slices, beef jerky, olives.
Kale salad that I mix with chopped eggs, cheese, and mushrooms
Microvawable rice that I mix with stir fry sauce, tomato bisque, curry powder and canned salmon
