Question Squats - how can I keep doing them

Squats are a primary movement that I do. I want to keep doing them. I've asked trainers and gym bros to watch my form and give tips all to no avail.

What is happening is I get LH groin pain as soon as I get up around 60kg- I know my legs are stronger than this but it's a sharp pain and it happens not right out of the hole but about 1/3rd the way up (inch of two above parallel) . Simply can't get passed 60kg with any volume while this happening.

I get the same pain if I try to do box jumps even small ones I have tried several movements (not past of my program) to see what causes pain, front lunges don't as long as torso is properly upright but side ones on the left do if push hard. in between lifting days I can't really notice much ongoing pain except the odd twinge if I move quickly.

No pain doing deadlifts-leg presses etc. If I do shallow squats on to a 20 inch box it dosint happen either
Have tried every stance imaginable - seems to get worse the wider the stance.

Really keen to keep doing them and progressing but not sure how to get passed this.

Why do you do box jumps? Are you a hurdler or some other track and field discipline?

I'm not saying that's the problem, but those jumps are high impact, I find it interesting that 60kg gives you that pain along with box jumps.

I personally don't see the point in those jumps unless you are some "athlete".

......flame away Peeps! Cause those box jumps are all so trendy nowadays, YAY!

Sorry maybe should have made it clear - I don't do box jumps - they ain't part of my program and got have no interest in doing them. Merely tried along with other movements side, front lunges etc to see what is causing pain. Front lunges don't, and side only on the left does when push in a more explosive manner - was only doing them with light dumbells though

Sorry, but I think you'll need to see a qualified physical therapist to diagnose what/why you are getting the sharp pain - and hopefully give you some course of treatment/exercises/whatever.

    Get well soon!
Faith in Jesus first and faith in squats second.
Then other details will start to slot themselves into place.
    Back on the diet :(

A pulled groin can take a long, long time to heal.

is the pain actually in the groin or hip flexor or somewhat between them? Reason I ask is it can sometimes be hip bursitis
