Doing fierce 5, possibly upping to 4 days per work, new program?

    Hey all,

Been doing fierce 5 a little while and enjoying it but I am thinking of upping my workout days to 4 instead of 3.

Days would be Monday, thursday, friday, sunday.

Now fierce 5 says 3 days only. Should I just stick to 3 days and concentrate on following the plan or is there a decent 4 day program I could look into?

What's the logic behind upping it to 4 days a week?

Fierce 5 itself has a 4 day U/L version, which is an excellent program but I wouldn't hop onto it without a valid reason if the 3 day version is working for you.

As above, no reason to jump ship if it's working for you, but if you enjoy training 4 days a week then the U/L will be fine.

upper/lower. If you try to do the volume of fierce 5 full body 4x/week, you will run into recovery issues. Switch to upper/lower if you want 4x/week. Keep in mind, that is only working each muscles group 2x/week, vs 3x/week with full body, so even though you will be in the gym more, you will progress slower.

Ok thanks all for the reply. Think I will stick to the fierce 5 3 days. Only reason I was tempted to ul it was because I could squeeze an extra day in if needed now.

If you want to be in the gym 4 days a week, Fierce 5 U/L is a great program. I just completed week 16 and have enjoyed the program along with the body composition improvements from it.

If what you're doing has you still progressing on your lifts, stay the course.
