Does one night of very little sleep ruin progress?

So ive got to get up for a flight at 2AM and ill only be able to get about an hour, no more than maybe 2 hours as i struggle to sleep on planes at all. Im really pissed as i feel like this is like chucking a months worth of progress out the window. Will i lose muscle or gain fat, or will i simply feel sleepy the next day? Im still only 14 btw too.

Ik what u mean man but im taking it very seriously, in 2 years im aiming to compete in a physique competition. I really dont want to lose muscle or gain extra fat from this. I trained at 10 AM yesterday and havent slept since then and wont be till at least 5 AM but it might not be until like 8 PM if theres some screaming kid on the plane.

An occasional night of little sleep, missed workout, or entire pepperoni pizza isn't the end of the world - life happens. Just don't make a habit of it and don't work out the next day if you're barely awake. You sound like you're not slacking at all, so I'm sure you'll be fine if your goal is in 2 yrs... just don't stress too much about it if something goes off track once a month or two.

you can't be upset about one bad night of sleep when you're competing 2 years from now. You can have one late night a week as a good rule. Maybe as you get one month away, be careful.

I bloody hope not as only sleep 5-6hrs a night and regularly called out during the night for work. I have been doing that for nearly 7 years....

No it will make no difference. Not that a 14 year old should even be bothering with this kind of stuff except being active, young, eating nutritional food and starting to weight training.

Get your rest and don't make it habit of it at your age but equally don't be stressed by such minor things if they happen your young enjoy life and keep things simple.
