    Beginner in the gym, what should I do?

    Just 1 month into the gym,

    198 pounds

    Give me honest advice, should I build muscle, cut or body recomp?

    you should always be trying to build or at worst, maintain your muscle. If you have been going for a month, my assumption is your muscle mass is low so work on building up your strength following a good beginner program
