i have ran my own company and 2 with my dad for the past 5-6 years and i am actually about to expand and start a manufacturing corp. I am really excited about the company's future and feel that it is going to do much better than what we have now. I would love to share what i am creating but still working on the patent for it and would rather not go out telling my business opportunities all over the interwebz

but i do like this thread and support it. reps OP and reps to any other entrepreneurs who post

This wasn't intended to be a give away for your secrets, more of a general brainstorm of ideas and solutions that could improve the things we already use.

You don't have to share anything you wouldn't tell a competitor

There's also lots of information to share on project management, creating a business model, proposals, raising capital. Why not make this informational easily accessible

I would imagine most business ideas go through some sort of market research when considering a new product. I have never conducted personally, but there are ways to certainly conduct research on a tight budget. Care to elaborate? You don't have to give specifics

also have some great ideas for online businesses but i have minimal skills in web design/etc so im attempting to teach myself (would love to pay someone to do it professionally, but again, need $$$ to do that). going to post an ad on craigslist willing to trade personal training for lessons in web design/etc

I have had zero negative feedback over the past few months and have written out a 30+ page business plan, talked to many professionals for advice, created a support line for myself full of professionals if I get into a bind, created a professional and creative website, done a lot of local research to confirm the need for my business.

It is a service business.

Yes age 22. I just got sick of the 9-5 grind, which I'm still doing btw. So I'm hoping this will be my ticket out of it and I can enjoy life more!

Is your idea unique? - Yes it's unique. It's something that many people overlook due to affordability but it is crucial for their growth

Do you have any competitors? - None in my area and almost zero at all. It's great because my target market gets overlooked by the big boy companies that are comparable to mine.

I don't have any professional experience but I do like doing it as a hobby and have for many years. In retrospect I should've gone to school for it. However I now have a good business background and can use that to my advantage.

Customers shouldn't be too hard. People NEED my service and if they don't think so I have a sales/business background to sell them on my services!
