    How can I gain weight?

Okay so I’m having a extremely hard time gaining weight with my current lifestyle. I’m 6’3 and around 165lbs so I’m pretty skinny. But my problem is every day I lift weights for about an hour, then go work asphalt in the heat for 8-9 hours, and THEN go to boxing class for two hours. I’m really wanting to put on 20-30lbs in the next 3 months but how can I consume enough calories to gain that much weight that fast with this lifestyle? I really appreciate any feedback/advice!

Are you lifting weights? If not, then you'll just end up gaining 20-30lb of fat...

Even if you start lifting, gaining 20-30lb in 3 months is going to be like 20lb of fat and maybe 5-6lb of lean tissue if you're a complete beginner...

Yes I’m lifting weights, typically on the heavier side, it’s okay to gain fat because I’m extremely lean now and I’m just wanting to move up in weight class asap

Well, that;s good, but gaining 20+ pounds of pure fat isn't gong to make you look any better or make you any stronger... and you'd have to eat a massive amount every single day...

Yea. Add 25 pounds of fat and move up in weight class. That'll go real well for you...

Here are some energy-dense foods that are perfect for gaining weight:

Nuts: Almonds, walnuts, macadamia nuts, peanuts, etc.
Dried fruit: Raisins, dates, prunes and others.
High-fat dairy: Whole milk, full-fat yogurt, cheese, cream.
Fats and oils: Extra virgin olive oil and avocado oil.
Grains: Whole grains like oats and brown rice.
Meat: Chicken, beef, pork, lamb, etc. Choose fattier cuts.
Tubers: Potatoes, sweet potatoes and yams.
Dark chocolate, avocados, peanut butter, coconut milk, granola, trail mixes.

If 20-30lbs is too much how much would you recommend trying to pack on in in 3 months? Like I said fat is okay but I don’t want too much that it will hurt my performance when boxing. Maybe more around the 15lb range?

Eat more frequently. When you're underweight, you may feel full faster. Choose nutrient-rich foods. Try smoothies and shakes.

First of all you need professional help from a dietician to calculate your daily caloric needs and your basic metabolism needs . From then on creating a caloric surplus so that you gain weight would be fairly easy.

Bet the vast majority would use the same equation that any online calculators would use and the other ones would make up some random chit as a sales tactic. You could also just monitor what you eat for a few weeks and watch the scale to get an idea of whether or not you're in a deficit, surplus or around maintenance. This stuff doesn't need to be hard.

Buy a blender so you can drink a lot your calories, add some whey protein, oats, bananas, peanut butter, milk, ice cream etc, it's an easy way of consuming a lot of calories in a short space of time.

    ^That is a good suggestion..

Your activity level is through the roof. I would eat very dense calorie foods and as much as possible. Easy stuff - spoons of PB, granola, whole milk, nuts, make some sandwiches with plenty of meet and cheese, etc..

Let your training progress and the mirror guide your results. In terms of your goal, all depends on your starting point, training experience, how long, etc.. I would cut your goal in half and see how you do.
I do this thing called "Whatever I want."

Strong mind + Strong body = UNSTOPPABLE
