I feel I have an intrinsic motivation to be healthy and fit. I really enjoy working out and generally feel better when I eat properly too. Part of why I maintain healthy habits is also just the routines I built growing up. Now they are just second nature! However, pre-workout and music definitely help me ratchet up the intensity of my workouts.

Had a pretty rough year. Relationship of 2 years broke up. Didn't get accepted for a college loan so i couldn't continue classes.
Currently lifting 6 days a week and working to save up so i can go back to college.
What motivates me is wanting to be reborn. I want to come out as a completely new and better person.Cobra Kai never dies!

The rest of my family really struggles with eating well, exercising, and managing their weight. As sad as it is - I see complacency all around me and it motivates me to not fall down that path. I also think I have the opportunity to be a good role model to them to show them how simple it really is. I eat well and I go to the gym consistently. That's it. I'm not superman. Anyone can do it.
Also - my boss is kind of a jerk, so sometimes thinking of him motivates me to hit the heavy bag a little harder
Also - is it just me, or does anyone else lift a little bit more weight when there is a pretty girl at the gym?"You can't lead a cavalry charge if you think you look funny on a horse."

Totally agree with everything you said here and once you get yourself into a routine and you see
the results of the hard work everything just becomes second nature but it doesn't happen overnight
and that's the mistake many make thinking it's gonna happen overnight. Training consistently and eating
to fuel your training builds discipline that will carry over in everything else you do in life.

Competing
Plain and simple
I've been training since I was 14; just turned 50 last month.
I've always had the drive to gain muscle and look like Bob Paris...lol
But once I started competing, man, does that light a fire under your ass! Just knowing you have a date, you've paid registration, you're going to be on stage in front of who knows how many people all judging your body. I've always trained for myself, but competing gives me a real drive I've never felt before.2017 OCB Men's Physique Open 4th place

My motivation is my Grandchildren. So far, every male on my dad's side of the family has not made it to 60. I would like to be the first to see them graduate from High School....That's what keeps me motivated...

My motivation to reach my goals are my 3 sons. I want to be the best I can be for them and I try to work hard in all that I do to set the right example. For me, the gym is extremely important because it has allowed me to develop a skill-set of planning, preparing and executing and I want my kids to see that and one day have the same mentality.

My motivation is certainly my wife and 2 sons. I know all 3 look at me as a role model so I have to make sure Im doing the right things to set a good example for them. Whether that is meal prepping for the whole family so we call can have healthy choices to eat or motivating everyone to workout even when we are all tired, I know that I will be the key in all of that. My current goal right now is cutting down for my 5th wedding anniversary end of September (about 6 weeks in n macros gettin tight) so the iso would be perfect as a meal replacement and engine shred would be utilized for my 4am weights n cardio sessions. Would leave thorough review with pics for both here in the forum if chosen. good luck everyone

These are great reasons guys!
I have 2 boys; neither of who drink any soda, no junk, eat very healthy and clean, weight train, meal prep for work...the whole thing. I've watched for, and am concerned about, eating disorders but see nothing of the kind. Healthy eating has just always been a way of life for me, and now for them; because it's what they know. They feel great and are great kids and I believe it has a lot to do with a healthy lifestyle.
I secede my entry to these guys^^^2017 OCB Men's Physique Open 4th place

I feel like a chump because I donβt really have any βmotivationβ, I just really really ENJOY doing the activity. I feel great when Iβm lifting, I hop out of bed looking forward to my workout, I go to bed looking forward to tomorrowβs workout. I enjoy contemplating new gym equipment, routines, techniques, SUPPLEMENTS!
I do guess Iβm motivated to keep going....
...because the beautiful woman I love thinks Iβm sexy.
...every time I see a slob my age leaning on their cart at Walmart huffing and puffing just from pushing the cart.
...every time a kid asks me to flex my arm and is delighted, like I would be if Arnold flexed his arm for me.
...every time someone is amazed at the fact that Iβm 50.
...every time someone compliments me on this forum ...the only people besides my SO who ever actually see me with my shirt off, ha ha.

I donβt want to derail the thread...but you know Iβve been a fan for a while. Iβve seen you cut and refined for your shows, and Iβve seen you huge and thick (using that word in a good way) powering the weights in the off-season. Just curious when you PERSONALLY feel the best and like the way you look the most?
