Don't know your height, or how that region looks.

    Either...
    A) you're not 8.4% bodyfat, people are usually off by quite a bit on this one. Abs can show in the 12% range as well. I have had them at 12-14%, but I have to work harder for them because fat starts on my belly region first and is the hardest to loose for me.
    B) you haven't been working out long enough to make your abs pronounced. It took me about a year until I was able to get abs the first time I started working out. Crunches, weighted situps and a few others helped a lot.

Work on ab exercises if that is what you are trying to attain. If they still aren't showing up after a time of working out for awhile, then it is likely you have some fat covering them, which is not uncommon. Take regular progress photos and check the mirror regularly. Make sure you're keeping your eating under control as well.
    Just keep on going.

There is no scale that can accurately compute body fat percentage. How tall are you? 135lbs for anyone above 5'8" is underweight. You need to add muscle to your frame, not cut.

Lack of muscle mass overall would be my guess.

I'm the same, except that I'm 124lbs at 5'9, unsure of my body fat percentage, but tend to store most of my fat around my lower midsection. Only see abs when flexing and under good lighting. It's a huge downer.

That said though, priorities should be targeted more towards building strength and muscle. Your abs probably aren't developed enough like these fine gentlemen suggest.

BMI doesn't take into account bone density, muscle mass, water weight, and other factors; all it does is use height and waist. Some people are genetically more inclined to be at a higher weight, and a healthier weight to be exact.

If we we went by that logic, then most bodybuilders on this forum would be classified as overweight even if they have chiseling Broly like abs of steel.

135lbs is on the light spectrum.

Putting on more muscle mass corrects all the problems!

Yes, but we are ''overweight'' due to our muscle mass, Arnold was ripped to shreds at the 1975 Mr Olympia contest but at 6'1'' 228 lbs he was ''obese''

you’re on a bodybuilding forum, what do you expect. 135 for anyone who lifts at that height is underweight. For a regular person as long as you’re healthy who gives a ****

clearly someone doesn't understand the intent of the BMI scale

BMI is used to identify 'mortality risk'

135lbs is underweight for males over 5'5

Arnold was not obese, but given only his height and weight, he would be at the same risk(s) as someone who is in fact obese.

More easily: You likely don't see many healthy men over age 60 that are 6ft 230lbs
    Goals:

    1.5 bw Bench
    2.0+ bw Squat
    2.5 bw Deadlift
    Gain 20 lbs

We live in a nation where most people are either overweight or obese, that's why most of us have a problem with the BMI chart, I don't though, I realize that American people in general we have a distorted idea of what is ''skinny'', ''normal'', ''chubby'', and ''fat''. For us a normal man is ''skinny'', an overweight man is ''normal'', an obese man is ''chubby'' and only a morbidly obese man is ''fat'' to us, smh
