I love sneakers too, but wouldn't dream of spending that much on them.

Everything really. Have over 100 pairs from sneakers to boots to loafers to monks. Spend the most on sneakers now though. Nike Offwhites, Common Projects, Maison Margielas, lots of in demand Nike/Adidas, etc. Resell price on the hard to get stuff is almost always $300-$600.

I've got a sneaker collection worth a few months normal peasant wages and I'd never buy those gay as fuk sneakers. Why drop so much cash on a pair of shoes which do nothing more than encase your feet? The shoes I am wearing now cost £18 ($23) and are comfy as hell and look good enough. Just a white sole with black fabric...no logo or tag or anything. The brand is unheard of but the majority of people will never give it a second thought.

The only real justification for dropping 650 on a pair of shoes is if they had added bonus like stamina reduction, speed increase, jump increase, the ability walk on walls etc.
