Haven’t had tendinitis issues for about nine months and then this week my left elbow flared up. At the tail end of my first bulk, so the timing sucks. Will probably have to take a week off from anything that irritates it.
Sometimes getting old sucks. LOL

Mine usually comes on slow, my elbows are feeling a bit beat up lately. I reduce volume on isolation work for biceps and triceps, The other thing that helps (aside from ice etc) is use straps or versa grips for pulling exercises when elbows are sore. For me pulling with versa grips reduces elbow fatigue a lot.

I feel ya, I got a bad case right now, worse one yet. I was super active with sports when younger, and older, and never got tennis elbow until last year at 47 years old. I would always trained through injuries as well but this time it's not worth it.
Unfortunately the only thing that would cure this at our age is rest, and that sucks to say, I know! So I'm taking a break for a bit to heal up.

I just bought some for that exact reason! Well actually I bought the Cobra grips version but same principle.
I had regular lifting straps to use if I need more grip strength. I bought the Cobra grips just to save wear and tear on the elbows as they are much easier to wrap around the bar. Only used them for a few workouts but I like them a lot.
My elbows are not hurting at all but sometimes the right inner feels a little numb right at the point where golfers elbow would be so I am choosing to be proactive. I have never had golfers elbow but I did have tennis elbow flare up very quickly once. I stopped doing lying BB tricep extensions (skull crushers) and it has not come back.Bodybuilding is much more than an hour in the gym a few days a week---it's a lifestyle that changes all your perceptions about how to live, eat, and rest. It feeds the mind as much (and sometimes more so) than the body.

I have a set of the cobra grips as well as from when I temporarily lost my versa grips. They seem like a good knock off of the versa grips, I have deadlifted 495 with them without breaking them. I had tried a variety of other knock off products before I bought actual versa grips, Some lasted a year or more, but I did have one brand (can't remember what it was) tear in half when deadlifting. Scared me into buying the versa grips because having a DL come crashing down unexpectedly was scary. The Cobra grips do seem on par with versa grips though, I have the leather Cobra grips, they actually fit my wrists better than the versa grips but I keep them in reserve.

The problem in the first place all starts with form. While younger our tendons can take a beating with improper form, but older it's different. You can get grips, bandages, etc. but it's still a band-aid.
When recovered it's a good wake up call to completely sharpen your skids on how hand and wrists are used when pushing weights. With dumbbell presses, is the alignment correct, any odd twists even when racking and re-racking? Especially when it comes to any curling motion. The slightest give in the wrist will cause troubles, so lighten the weight for better form. It's all about longevity when we reach this age.
