When I do a dumbbell bench press (with resistant band) I do not feel my chest contracting rather I can feel the majority of the load in my shoulders, scapular and elbow. This also occurs during a pushup. Also are there any tips to build a bigger chest at home with resistance bands and body weight excercise's

You need to retract your shoulders and keep that chest as high as you can without breaking general bench press form. Remember to always push the weight using the chest muscles more then your shoulders and arms.
Bodyweight exercises for chest can be;
Push-ups
Incline Push-ups
Diamond Push-ups
Decline Push-ups
One-Handed Pushups
Position yourself on a tile or wooden floor. Begin to place two rags shoulder-width and get into a push-up position. Place both hands on each rag and then begin to lower yourself while bringing the rags together to your chest and then back out as if you're doing the R.O.M of a cable crossover.
You are better off just using equipment though; much more effective and efficient especially for chest gains.if you need someone to chat with, don't hesitate to shoot me a PM.
