I hate corvettes but Chevy did a great job. I would get rid of my Audi for this, except I need more than 2 seats. Great price point

Why would Ford or Dodge have to do anything in response? They have never, ever taken on Corvette directly since the original T-Bird. Which flogged it in sales. This time will be no different.
The Ford GT only has a couple of years to run then it's gone again, probably never to return. At least not for another decade or so.

I agree. The C8 won't take all of those sales in that price range, because if someone wants a GT350 or a Hellcat, that is what they will get.
But, some will see the Corvette's value, name, looks and interior and jump.
The Corvette was designed to compete in performance and price. That's what car manufacturers do.Helping one person may not change the world, but it could change the world for one person.

Just noticed in another pic that it's a see through mesh on the bottom, and mebe that's the transmission that's just peeking out from under that lower piece. Wonder if aftermarket (prob exhaust since that looks like a white wrapped piece of it behind there) will open that up so you can partially see into the heart of the beast from the back like the R8

Looks like you're going to be a future C8 owner lol.
You been pretty clutch in this thread with the pics and chit. Good job mang.
This car is going to do so well. But like said, you're an idiot if you get this car over MSRP. Once the buzz settles just a tad, couple of months after it hits the showroom floors, the price should settle. Then when the C8Z is announced that should drive the prices right to where it's advertised, or possibly lower, at year end.
I'm dying for the C8Z already. I don't do base cars lol

Yeah idk how I'm gunna avoid picking one of these up within the next ~3 years, so joocy for the price, especially once the hype dies down and you can snag a new/lightly used one for well under msrp

I already had my dealer call me last freaking winter to see if i want to be on the list to get a C8 when it arrives. With a refundable 1000 deposit. Although some people only had to give 500 dollar deposit??
Anyway i told him, NO. Put me on the list for the model that comes after it, the z06 or whatever it's called.
So yes i'm on call for the higher performance model. ALthough the base is tempting. Just because it's a whole new platform and the "wow factor" is gonna be outrageous with the stingray itself, i kinda want that lol. Even though my C7Z now still turns all the heads every time i take it out.

I think you can do that with just about most mid-engine cars. But, I don't see your drag and drop reference as much of a match.
Appreciating a brand new design that has been in the works for years is just that - appreciating. I for one don't give a shiit if you call it gushing.
