Like i said when talking about performance, no lol. A miata has never been in competition with a corvette ever. Not on the track, not on the street, never.
Corvettes have always been in competition with ferrari. They race on the track competitively and a C7Z and ZR1 can beat most ferrari's. Stock vs stock.
A miata is at the bottom of the barrel. You should have used a different car to make your argument lol

Most of the corvette options aren't worth it IMHO.
Like the only option i wish my C7Z had was the PDR. Other than that, i didn't need/want anything else. It's basically a race car for the street.
If the C8Z started at 100k, i'd still get it. It is just too much car at this point. Like the C7 lineup was amazing. But this C8 potential is really out of this world. People can nitpick the looks of the base C8 all they want, when the z06 is debuted, they'll think differently.

You're talking about a 911 for 85k??
lol dude that means you'll be getting like a 2006 or something.
A lot of the GT3's like you said are 120k+. And yeah if you would spend that much, i probably wouldn't be looking at a z06 too. I'd spend a bit more and get a 911 turbo S.
Corvettes have always been amazing value. Great looks, incredible performance and reliability. That's why people buy them.
GM just stepped it up with the C8 and the later variants which will be even more amazing.

Yeah i just saw that just now. Like this whole new C8 chapter is getting better and better.
The LT6 for the z06? And the LT2 hybrid for a grand sport? I don't know about that but i do believe the LT6.
Then the monster LT7 hybrid for 1000hp. Jesus christ. GM really building supercars now lol
I'm getting goosebumps knowing in about 2 years from now, hopefully, a C8 z06 will be at my house.

Agreed. Did you hear that leaked video, it's like 10 seconds long about the possible z06 ripping through the canyons?
I mean i love the way my pushrod LT4 sounds but man, that 5.5 dohc v8 sounds amazing. Like an exotic. Makes sense. Exotic sound, exotic looking car, GM's first supercar begins with the z06.
If you haven't, email rick conti. He's already taking a list for C8 z06 pre-orders. No deposit. But the sooner you get on the list, the sooner you get called when they finally announce it, then it's up to you to make a deposit or just pass.
I think i'm like 49th or so on the list. I did the chit early lol

It does, but there are cars that are 1000+hp on the road. Bugatti, Hennessey C8 will have ~1200 and some ultra exotics. For me, I don't have a desire for more than 650hp for a sports car. Pointless. There is always someone faster and I don't race anyway. I like to feel power and pull on the highway, but not going to jail and not going to die that way.
Helping one person may not change the world, but it could change the world for one person.

Pretty sure the 1000hp model will be NO LESS than 150k. It's going to be a special 1 year model, similar to what the ZR1 was for the C7 generation. It's going to be the holy grail of C8's. The final version. It's like watching a movie and some chit where some team worked hard for a goal and like something bad will happen to them, that they made one final run to assemble something special 1 last time lol. I feel like the corvette after the C8 might not be a corvette anymore. I really feel like if there's a C9 generation, it will be called something else. I think the corvette ends with the C8 generation.
Which is fine, they saved the best for last.

I don't know if Chevy would kill off the Corvette after the C8. I could see it evolving into the C9 looking like the 2012 mid engine Corvette Daytona.
The base model C8 is crazy as is. A 100hp shot of wet nitrous will make these bone stock LT2 engine base model C8 vettes run mid 10's or faster in the 1/4 mile.
Anything over 500hp to the wheels being cranked through a DCT transmission is going to be fast. The C8 Z06 and C8 ZR1 are going to be wicked AF for an off the showroom floor car.

The only reason why i believe they might call the C9 something else, is because V8's are getting phased out. I know back in the day the very first corvette actually started with a 6cyl but that didn't last long at all until they started to stuff V8's in them.
So i believe with the new mandated regulations, V8's are soon going to be replaced by FI 6cyl's or possibly FI 4cyl hybrids, and that can't be called a corvette if it doesn't have a V8.
I think after they made the holy grail of the C8, the zora, the final year, that the C9 will be branched off that name zora and then no more V8's, it'll be hybrid 6 and 4 cyl's for the C9 gen, if there is one.
